If you are a pie and cake lover...give Uncle Bob's a try! Why? *Great, old-fashioned friendly service
* The tastiest, freshest goods, * Artisan bread * pies that are so flavoursome, have a great pastry case that holds together * beautiful fresh cream cakes
I have not come across a better bakery in Queensland. I am totally addicted now! They are a little pricey- about $4:60 a pie - but really worth it. I also got a chox pastry filled with fresh cream and strawberries...just fantastic. I cannot reccommend them enough!!
Approximate cost: $4.60 a pie
Okay, a few good points, a few very bad ones...
We were lured in by the big sign "entree and main $6.95" (approx), well....
Service was quite good, although there were dirty plates sitting on vacant tables since we got there until we left-not a good look.
We got some water, and the glasses were dirty and the water bottle was FILTHY...not only that, but it used to be a soft drink bottle as it had a twist top, which was ingrained with dirt. We were debating whether to stay or not, but decided to stay.
The meal came with the "entree" of a spring roll.
Here is the good part- the meal was so very tasty- the best Chinese I have had in ages. I was thoroughly enjoying it, when...uh oh...there was a black, long hair in the middle of it, buried in it. I told the owner and he got me a fresh meal. My husband ordered another main, and got no spring roll this time.
What a shame it is so dirty there, as the food was very good, and from what i could see, the kitchen was clean.
Approximate cost: $7.00
There was a group of about 25 of us for a workmate's farewell. Very disappointed in a lot of things-
Garlic bread was ordered and never came, when it did it after saying something, it had no garlic on it. One person orederd a bottle of white wine and got red instead.
With the meals, everyone who had steak found it bad- for the $25 I paid, half of it was revolting, gloopy fat, the pepper sauce was very average, and people who had chips said they werent cooked properly, the girl next to me had a thai beef salad, and her beef was tough as boots.
We complained to the manager? not sure, and he gave us a boittle of wine, which ends up as no cost to them, really, as it gets written off as a promotion.
Then after a few hours they said we have to move as they were packing the tables down.
It says cheap and nasty to me-wont go back there.
Approximate cost: $25
RIP OFF!!!! My husband bought a pizza...a tropical... and yes it did taste nice, but for a 25cm, flat, small pizza, charging $17 for it is daylight robbery!!! I cannot even say how they can charge that much, their profit must be about 400%. It didnt even have that much ham.
They have lost us, and we are only up the road from them. Disgraceful.
This restaurant has some of the best chinese I have found so far, in the bayside area. We often get take away, they put in a decent amount of meat and cashews/almonds etc, very tasty too.
A small pharmacy, with good service, and the prices are surprisingly low. Open quite late to 10pm 7 days a week.
Fantastic prices...I let everyone know about these guys, I feel sorry for those who pay full price. Love them for the flea treatments!
Approximate cost: $54 for Frontline plus, medium dog 6 month supply
They always have good prices, and i love the bargain baskets. Prescription prices are awesome too.
The massage was lovely however the room was a bit cold, and lacked that nice aromatherapy scent that other massage places have. Still came out feeling great.
Approximate cost: $50
I had a Tardis made for a birthday, and Fiona was really great. Her cakes are AWESOME she has a real talent for it! They are not cheap, but boy does she do an excellent job, and the cake we had was simply delicious...mud... my husband absolutely loved the cake. I have never forgotten Fiona, I would always go back to her!
