This place has amazing food.

The servings are so large.

Our pies were chock full of meat and delicious vegetables.

Their slices are giant sized and great value.

The outside eating area is excellent and you may well be visited by a Quocka

This review is for Rottnest Express, Perth WA

The only "express" part was the ferry ride from Fremantle to Rottnest.

Rottnest Island was great. We spent 5 and a half hours there and got to see heaps of the island.

Unfortunately that was 5 and a half hours out of an 11 and a half hour day. The other 6 hours were spent with Rottnest Express travelling.

We took a package that included a pick up from our van park. We had to be ready to go by 6:50am and they got us to the Barrack St ferry terminal very promptly. For some reason they had us there at 7:30 when the ferry didn't leave until 8:30.

We did get a cruise along the Swan river when we got going. The air conditioning in the cabin was freezing so the cruise lost a lot of it's enjoyment for us.

We had a deal with a hire bike. The bikes were pretty ordinary but you would probably expect that from a tour company. If you can then take your own bike.

Now for some reason they pick us up at our park but we have to make our own way back. So when we got back to Barrack St we had to bolt off the bus (we were bussed from Fremantle) and run across parkland and up St George St to catch public transport. If we had of been 10 seconds slower we would have missed the bus and, given it was a Sunday, wait another 2 hours or pay for a taxi.

Very poor customer service.

This review is for Perth Zoo, South Perth WA

This is an excellent zoo.

The animal enclosures are well set out and designed for the comfort of the animals but also keeping in mind the viewing audience.

It is not a big zoo and the layout makes it easy to get around but you will still need to allow a full day to get the most from your visit.

Get there early or check out the zoo on the web as they have some excellent keeper talks and presentations with the animals.

This review is for Tay'Ke Hair Designs, Broome WA

I received a very nice hair cut at this hair dressers in Broome while touring Australia.

There was no need to book - just walk in. There was a little bit of a wait as I was in Broome during a busy time.

The staff were friendly and efficient. The cost was reasonable.

The food was very nice but the pie was slightly over cooked.

The service, however, was terrible. We waited half an hour then had to go back twice before finally getting our food about 45 mins after ordering.

The views of the city are great

This is a lovely park - so scenic. There is heaps of space and some great walks.

The staff in the info center are great.

The tour of the Crystal Cave is well worth it ($10) and the guide does a great job.

Make sure you drop into the chocolate shop for some exceptional chocolate.

It is always great to get a good Aussie feed at Outback Jacks.

The food here is exceptional as expected and the service is great.

The store is easy to find and to get into.

Inside there is a lovely open fire on one wall which is great to sit beside on a cooler evening.

The restaurant also has a large room for children.

A lovely little cafe right on the beach near the Jurien Bay jetty.

The location is superb. You get to sit under cover but in the open air and look out over the sparkling waters.

The food is nice and well prepared. There is plenty of choice on the menu. The chicken and cheese toasted sandwiches are delicious (real chicken!)

The service is quick and the staff are friendly.

This review is for Southerleys, Port Denison WA

This is a great pub. It overlooks the port area and the western ocean. There is a good view of the ocean from the inside tables and there are outside areas if the weather is good.

The steak sandwich ($19) on the menu was recently voted WAs best steak sandwich. We tried it and it is a delicious and filling meal. There was very little grease that dripped out of the sandwich. The steak was excellently cooked and the other fillings complimented it well.

It came with chips and -YES - these were real chips. They were large slices of potatoe, cut into chips with the skin still on. Delicious.

The only thing is it you buy a soft drink ask for it without ice, or get a can, as they tend to sell you mostly a glass of ice.

A very satisfying meal!

This is a very nice park. It looks great and has all the facilities that you would want.

The amenities are large and clean. There is plenty of room in the showers, water pressure is ok and they are designed well.

There is a childrens playground and a pool in a nice pool area.

The feature is the camp kitchen and TV room. The camp kitchen has 2 outside barbeques and tables. Inside there is a large table, 2 ovens and sets of hotplates, fridge, microwave and 2 sinks.
