There are a lot of residents in the cottages - they seem permanent and it is hard to get a shower in the late afternoon as they all want to use them (after work).

The sites are on shadecloth and under large trees.

The amenities are a bit small. The showers have screen doors but the water pressure is not that great.

There is a TV room with a large screen TV and a campers kitchen with microwave, hot plates, toaster and a sink.

This is a lovely holiday park.

We visited in the winter so it was pretty empty.

The sites are nicely laid out with slabs or mesh netting to park on and walk out onto.

There are two amenities blocks and they are both nice and clean. There is plenty of room in them and the water pressure in the showers is good.

There is a nice enclosed barbeque area near reception and a great camp kitchen facility at the other end. The camp kitchen is fully equipped - and has an oven - and there is a separate barbeque area there as well. There is also a massive TV which has Fox sports.

The park is 4km from the jetty with a track into town all along the beach.

A very nice bakery located in West Busselton, closer to caravan parks than other fast food places.

The pies are very nice, filled with meat.

There is a good choice of cakes and slices which all look delicious. I tried my usual - the vanilla slice - and it was delicious. It didn't look the greatest but it was very nice.

This is your classic corner store and it also has a big range of take away. There is a sit in area for those who want to eat there.

The sell Rosies chicken - "Australia's tastiest chicken" - and we decided to try it. It was quite nice when I got over the size of the mini leg. But it was no where near the tastiest in the land!

The shop also sells basic groceries, lollies, ice creams and drinks.

It is within walking distance of Lake Richmond and the nearby caravan park.

The environmental centre in Rockingham was opened in 2002 and it is starting to show. Parts of it are quite impressive but the nature trails need a bit of work before they are overun by nature.

We went to see the turtles but were told that there were no turtles currently there - just after they had taken our money.

We did get to see snakes, lizards and fish.

We were happy to pay the money to help the rehabilitation of turtles but were disappointed generally.

This review is for Western Australian Maritime Museum, Fremantle WA

The presentations are excellent in this museum.

The boats on display are all authentic - not replicas - and that includes Australia II, winged keel and all.

There is some great information about various aspects of maritime life and history in WA.

Make sure that you don't miss out on the periscope on the top floor - with views all around Fremantle.

There is a nice coffee shop and gift shop at the entrance and the opportunity to go on a submarine tour.

This review is for Fremantle Prison, Fremantle WA

An excellent tourist attraction.

The prison is basically intact - the way it was right up until its closing date in 1991.

The tour guides are knowledgeable and lead a very informative tour.

There are some excellent displays around the entrance and make sure that you check out the terraces outside the prison walls

This review is for Palm Beach Caravan And Holiday Village, Rockingham WA

This park mainly caters for permanent residents and they are not that interested in tourists.

As such there is NO camp kitchen and not even any barbeques.

So for your money you get a site, electricity and use of an amenities block.

The amenities block is ok but the water pressure in the showers is not the greatest.

The slabs on the sites are good with one to parl on and one to step out on to.

If you want to stay centrally in Fremantle then this is the park to stay in. It is close to everything.

The park is quite nice with some very good facilities.

There are a couple of camp kitchens. The one we used - nearer to reception - was indoors and contained a lounge room as well as a fully equipped kitchen. There are 2 barbeques but they are out in the weather and not under cover.

The amenities look like portable blocks but they are quite good. Space is tight in the basin area but the showers are plenty big enough and they have a shower curtain and swivel head.

The best sign of a good chinese restaurant is when there are chinese people eating there and this is very popular with the chinese community.

The reason for that is that the food is great and the service is better.

The food is superbly cooked and it is very well presented. The dishes just melt in your mouth.

There is no waiting. Even though the place was packed and also seemed to be doing great take-away service (and this was on a Tuesday night) the food was brought out promptly.

An excellent place to eat.
