This review is for Chemist Warehouse, Parramatta NSW

As with all Chemist Warehouses, there is always some sort of special or sale on here. And their products are generally priced cheaper than most other chemists and supermarkets. As my son has mild eczema, I usually buy QV products here as I find they usually have the best prices. This Parramatta store is always super busy and shop assistants are sometimes hard to track down. However, having been here on so many occasions, I think I've got product location down packed now, and am usually in and out in a flash.

This review is for Cafe 31 On Macquarie, Parramatta NSW

A popular café located on Macquarie Street Parramatta, opposite the Jessie Street Centre. They offer a reasonably priced menu compared to other cafés around the area. Like most cafés their menu consists of a variety of sandwiches, focaccias, wraps, rolls and burgers. They also serve some hot foods, which changes daily. What I like most of all from their menu is their fish burger. The serving size is generous and the fish is nice and fresh, cooked to perfection. As I've mentioned in my other reviews, I am a chocolate lover and a non-coffee drinker, so I can't comment on the quality of their coffees. But judging from how busy this place gets during ‘morning tea' breaks, I would assume their coffees aren't too bad. Their hot chocolates are ok - it is typical of what you would get in most cafés. One exceptional thing here would be their customer service – friendly, efficient and always with a smile.

This review is for Max Brenner, Blacktown NSW

As a self-confessed chocoholic, I was over the moon when Max Brenner opened its doors at Westpoint as I live around the area. My absolute favourite item from their menu is the Banana Split Waffle Sundae - HEAVEN! I also like the Suckao, Italian Thick Chocolate and the Mexican Spicy Chocolate - YUM!

However, I don't go here as often as I would like nowadays for a couple of reasons: (1) Menu can be a little steep on the pocket, but for a once in a while treat, I guess its ok; and (2) This is probably the main reason why I don't go as often anymore - the lack of customer service and the overall environment of the Blacktown store's site. I feel that the staff are not very attentive and are more interested in carrying on their own personal conversations with either other staff or their friends loitering at the store. If the store were to go through some changes, in particular, change in staff's attitude and improve customer service, I would consider making regular trips here again.

I had a full medical exam undertaken here for a Canadian visa. I'm not sure what the going price is for a full medical exam but I have to say it is not cheap! On the morning of my exam, (which was on a Monday morning) the waiting room looked very similar to the RTA on a Saturday morning, it was full, with practically all seats taken. The nurses, pathologists, radiologists, etc undertaking the exams and taking samples needed were friendly enough and efficient. The doctor that I had was very professional, thorough and friendly. Considering the number of people waiting to have their own tests etc done, I was glad that my full exam took less than 3 hours, which is the expected time that they tell you when you make a booking. My only complaint (if any) is about the lady that processed my paperwork at reception. I felt she was a bit disorganised and a bit flustered. She told me that I hadn't brought enough photos for the paperwork but I informed her that I had actually brought in one extra photo more than the amount listed on their website. She tried to insist that I was wrong about the website, but then when I showed her a print out of the info I had taken from their website, she was stumped and didn't know what to say, not even an apology. Despite this though, I think overall the services provided by the majority is satisfactory and efficient.

This review is for Bezzini Parra Cafe, Parramatta NSW

Little cafe conveniently located at the foyer of Jessie Street Centre at Parramatta. Menu is typical of a cafe - a variety of ready made sandwiches, focaccia, muffins, etc. and a sandwich bar where you can request your own style of sandwich to be made. They also serve 3 hot dishes, which differs on a day to day basis. Taste of their food is ok, not the most tastey and sometimes some of their hot dishes can be a bit dry. I can't comment on their coffees as I am not a coffee drinker but I assume its good as I've noticed they have a fair share of regulars. Though I have tried their hot chocolate and I think its ok but not the best. Apart from its convenient location, as I work in the same building, what I like best about this place is their service, which is always friendly and efficient.

My son had his first swimming lesson here last week. The instructor was very professional, friendly and confident at what she does. Despite having most of her toddler students being upset, she was persistent yet not forceful allowing the kids to become familiar with their new environment. I really liked how the instructor divided her time and spent a good amount of one on one time with each child and parent and provided us with information in terms of what she hopes to achieve by the end of the term. Lessons are $10, for 30 mins once a week, for the duration of the school term.

This review is for In The Mood For Thai, Parramatta NSW

This is a popular Thai restaurant in Parramatta. It is particularly packed Tuesday lunch time as they have their $10 specials...so get in early! It has a great atmosphere, nice decor and a little bit more space than some of its surrounding restaurants. Service is friendly and usually prompt. But sometimes on Tuesdays, due to high demand, it can be slower than usual. I recommend giving their noodles a try, particularly the Pad Thai. I also recommend the bbq chicken.

This is a fantastic little Thai restaurant, next door to the Roxy. Have been here on several occasions for many years - dinners with family and friends, as well as lunches with colleagues. Even through the change in management they had a few years back, this restaurant seems to have kept its charm and consistency with the quality of their food. Have probably tried most of what's on the menu, all of which taste absolutely great. My absolute favourite is the pork belly and saffron rice with coconut cream. And almost always I will indulge with a nice young coconut drink to go with my meal! Yum! If you are in the mood for great Thai food, then this place is worth a try. Quite a popular place so be sure to book and/or arrive early on weekends as it has limited dining space.

After not having been here in a while, I was very disappointed to find that there may have been a change in management/ ownership. Firstly, the warm friendly greeting by the previous staff was gone! This is what made the place so inviting before! Now, service is mediocre. Feels like staff don't really care and are more interested in carrying on their own personal conversations than serving their customers. Secondly, the food doesn't have the same wow factor. I tried my usual crispy skin chicken, hubby had seafood laksa and bub had the combination fried rice. All our meals felt a bit lacking in flavour and serving size when compared to how it was before. The fried rice could've used a bit more soy sauce for flavour, the crispy skin chicken wasn't quite crispy and the laksa, although the flavour was ok, the fillings weren't enough. Sad to say that we probably won't be eating here as often now.

This is a nice takeaway place which serves Indonesian cuisine, that I regularly go to whenever I forget to bring lunch from home. Service is always exceptional and food is tastey! I especially like their rendang!
