The takeaway we ordered was ok, however, we asked for mild chicken and got really spicy! The chips were also really spicy, despite asking for mild. Overall, the food is quite expensive for what it is and my family will more than likely visit the local chicken and chips store instead of Nando's.
This is a cafe and bakery that caters really well for vegetarian, vegan and allergy diets. The food was really tasty, well-presented and generous serves. Service was very efficient and friendly. One of my favourite Daylesford cafes. I highly recommend the soup of the day with sourdough, also the open veggie burger.
A beautiful, heritage-listed old manse that has been converted into 5 rooms with ensuites. I stayed in the delightful 'Zebra' room that had a cosy open fire-place, zebra striped claw-footed bathtub, large comfy bed and kitchenette for hot drinks etc. Only a short walk from the main street of town, the location is perfect. Beautiful views over Daylesford and dusk serenading from the local birds (Currawongs, I think)! I was extremely well looked after by the host with chocolates on the pillows and bowls of candy/Easter eggs. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Daylesford.
Approximate cost: $130 p.n. for two people
I needed a special birthday cake that was vegan and catered for allergy problems. The chocolate mud cake I ordered was free from gluten, added sugar, dairy, eggs, flour, gelatine, yeast and wheat. It tasted amazing and received rave reviews from all who had a piece!!! Paula, who made it, also delivered the cake to my door.
This business is a relative newcomer to the area and provides excellent physio and rehabilitation services. I was seen by Luke who listened attentively to me and clearly had a full understanding of what the problem was and how to go about remedying it. Appointments are available at a really wide range of times and parking is a breeze!
I have been seeing Rebekka at Natural Body Lab to manage a range of health conditions that have previously not responded well to traditional medicine. Rebekka is highly knowledgable and takes a very practical and sensible approach to natural therapy. Through her advice and guidance, I have been able to achieve amazing results in better managing my health.
If I had to name just one favourite restaurant in Berwick, then this one wins, hands down! Food is outstanding, service is excellent and they are always willing to cater for special dietary needs (whipping up a delicious vegan dish with just a moment's notice)! The atmosphere is rather quirky and 'old world', but I love it.
Approximate cost: $30
I love that this business uses products that are relatively natural and chemical free. I have always been happy with my cut and colour. However, this salon is more expensive than some other salons and quite aggressively markets itself through letters, emails and texts. That said, I always receive compliments on my hair colour and style from friends, and even strangers!
A convenient option and definitely great value as they Bulk Bill. Reception staff do a wonderful job to manage such a busy clinic. However, I carefully pick and choose the doctor I would like to see and I always take a good book to read while waiting.
Approximate cost: $Free
My family and I always see Richard Sutton who provides punctual appointments, a friendly manner and excellent eye care. Screening photos can also be taken of the eyes for specific medical monitoring eg. Diabetic Retinopathy.
