We have stayed here twice, midweek, & both times been delighted with the Victorian charm of the building, the authentic decor, comfort of the room & the lovely extra touches of luxury without having to pay 5 star prices. in midwinter it was toasty warm & a short walk to the town's centre. A lovely step back in time but with all the mod cons.

Approximate cost: $130

A beautiful, heritage-listed old manse that has been converted into 5 rooms with ensuites. I stayed in the delightful 'Zebra' room that had a cosy open fire-place, zebra striped claw-footed bathtub, large comfy bed and kitchenette for hot drinks etc. Only a short walk from the main street of town, the location is perfect. Beautiful views over Daylesford and dusk serenading from the local birds (Currawongs, I think)! I was extremely well looked after by the host with chocolates on the pillows and bowls of candy/Easter eggs. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Daylesford.

Approximate cost: $130 p.n. for two people

I might try this place as a rest from camping next time I'm in Daylesford. Sounds nice ... cater for kids too?

Not really suitable for children; but perfect for couples or escaping by yourself :)
