We had never heard about SASH's services, we live in the Upper Blue Mountains. The referral came from our local veterinarian.

Our dog is diabetic with Cushing disease and had an acute pancreatic attack with underlying chronic pancreatitis.The simple fact that we arrived at SASH meant it was never going to be simple.My husband is a doctor even he knew that.

With 48 hours to decide if care could save our dog SASH through ICU and specialist care provided the life saving definitive care.

Two months later we are seeing an even livelier spirit than before going to SASH.

Only go here if a complete immediate emergency. Our cat was referred there due to after hours. While staff are nice they massively over charge, taking advantage of your situation and without due care.
The diagnosis and cost was so high that we thought our pet would die. SASH quoted 10900 for the procedure and syd Uni vet hospital did it for just over 3k. They are more worried about getting paid then your lived pet being alive. Think very carefully before you consider their care and question their every move and cost

The Oncologist we saw had read all the notes and was up to date on the patient even though we'd only booked the day before. I received a detailed report by e-mail before I'd even made it back home - it was informative, accurate and prompt. I felt that we were in the care of expert professionals. Everyone was warm, kind, helpful and respectful
The waiting area is thoughtful, comfortable and clean. Javing just travelled 3 hrs up from the Shoalhaven, easy access to a clean, well lit toilet and a Coffee machine was brilliant. Water for the animals and the stress diffusers - my dog was the most relaxed she's ever been at a Vet practice.

I took my cat to SASH Prospect on Sunday 21 May 23. This was an emergency because my cat passed blood in urine and he was in a lot of pain. I waited 30 min until someone did see me, a nurse. She spent 20 min to fill in some details, although she had my cat's history in the system. I had to wait another 20 min until a vet came along. She said that she would like to take an urine sample. Rather than checking if it was enough urine in the bladder, she shaved my cat in the wrong place. The shaver was not doing a great job, so she went for another shaver. After shaving my cat, she checked the urine level and decided that it wasn't enough left to take a sample. She prescribed antibiotics and pain killers. I told her that my cat was vomiting and he did not like to take medication through the mouth. I asked het to give my cat injection. She refused. I had to wait another 20 min until she finally came with the medication. One was the liquid antibiotics and 2 pain killers. Why would she prescribe 2 pain killers? I left the practice after 1 hour and 20 min without my cat being treated. I am very unhappy with the lack of professionalism and lack of fast service. I would not recommend SASH to anyone. 0 star from me.

An excellent first time experience. Knowledgeable veterinarian. Thank you for helping to put my mind at rest. I also felt my dog was given the utmost care and attention. Although this was a long trip from home for me and my dog to Prospect, I would have no hesitation in seeking an appointment in the future.

Visited the Prospect branch recently. First class treatment from all staff, and especially the vet.
Highly recommended.
