Jan made inquiries with me for another customer regarding a woman with at least 4 identities. She listened to how this woman, a former friend, had taken advantage of my generosity and caused me unnecessary stress and expense. I said, “Thanks for doing what you do. This has all been like grieving and you have started the healing process.” She replied, “This is why I love my job, I get to make a difference in peoples' lives and, if I'm honest, it's healing for me too,” which I thought was wonderful. Jan recommended a good lawyer and also the option of pursuing this woman through the courts myself. I discussed this with my husband and we decided not to take any further action because we have now gotten justice because someone with the means, time and energy is going to see it through. We're so happy we can now move forward.

Thank you for your referral. Yes, justice can mean different things to different people. I truly believe karma will catch up this woman and that she will be made to pay several people what she owes them. I hope this will be a much happier year for you.

I have a rental property down south and an agent signed up a tenant for me in Feb 2014 without doing proper due diligence checks . Without notifying me or the agent of any issues, the tenant suddenly abandoned the property in June leaving all her furniture behind, which meant I couldn't clean up or rent out to anyone else. I couldn't believe it when the Court ordered me to store her furniture and transport it 700Km to her new home at my expense! I now need to recover my costs including unpaid rent because insurance doesn't cover as much as you might think. A friend recommended I contact Jan at Pathfinder Investigations. She quickly gained some information which supported my case and brought the Affidavit to me in person because she understood the urgency of the case. She has also suggested further strategies to find out exactly what this tenant is up to.

Thank you. I sincerely hope that common sense will prevail in Court and that you will be fully recompensed.

OMG same happened to my daughter. Tenant vacated leaving furniture, old cars in the backyard and owing months of rent. House leased through an agent. My daughter had to go to court as well to have property removed and then stored at her own expense until due processes were completed. I wish you lots of luck for a good outcome.

I contacted Jan by email and phone from overseas saying the question I am going to ask you is rather embarrassing to me. But I would like to find out the truth. My girlfriend left Europe a few weeks ago to go to Perth. She said she would study there and return soon. Everything seemed fine until I became suspicious and started looking for her on the internet. I found some photos but they didn't show her face properly. I asked if a male investigator could call to check her availability, then go to the place to check it was her, then make an excuse and leave. As it is summer there and everyone is on holiday, Jan decided to do the work herself because she knew my girlfriend was about to leave this place and I needed to know the truth before I put a ring on her finger. She went in the early evening pretending to be a mother wanting to check out the staff for her son's first experience. I was surprised that a female investigator would do this, but I am thankful to get an answer so quickly

Thank you sir, for your kind words. I am glad were were able to provide you with an answer within the 36 hour deadline.

After my sister passed away unexpectedly without leaving a Will, I approached a solicitor to go through the probate court. The solicitor knew that Jan at Pathfinder Investigations had been successful in finding people to serve court documents, so he engaged her to try and find my two half-sisters from my Dad's first marriage. Even though a relative had given Jan an incorrect maiden for my stepmother, and she didn't know her current surname or those of my half-sisters, nor did she even know which states they were living in, let alone the suburbs, Jan was successful in finding all three ladies. Thanks to Jan, I now have a new family that I'm looking forward to getting to know.

Hi Rowan, I really enjoyed this investigation, not just because I was able to overcome so many challenges but because it's such a fantastic outcome for you. I wish you and your family a Happy New Year.

“A man defrauded me of $15,000. The Police weren't interested in prosecuting him so I had to raise court documents myself. Before the bailiffs made their first attempt to serve the papers, I told them not to go to the address I'd originally given because I discovered he'd moved out. They wasted my money by going to that address not once but twice. I was in despair. I asked Pathfinder Investigations if they could help me find the man's new address. They pulled out all the stops, and even conducted surveillance on Christmas Day and Boxing Day at no extra charge. Their digital forensic guy managed to find a new address for him and Jan personally confirmed it within hours. I would definitely recommend Pathfinders because they were genuinely interested in helping me and understood I needed to find this guy as soon as possible.”

Approximate cost: $Not disclosed

Thanks Barbara, I'm glad that we were able to get a long-awaited result for you and that you can look forward to your day in court and see that justice is done. Good luck!

The first phone call with Jan, was the first time in 2 years I'd felt listened to. Her empathy, support, clear communication and willingness to help was truly unbelievable. Although I was paying for a service it never once felt like 'just a business transaction' She approached my case with the sensitivity of a family member. I will be grateful for this forever. Jan went above and beyond to ensure I was heard, helped and remained safe, at a very stressful time. Thank you Jan Ross

Approximate cost: $Top value for money.

Thanks Sam, I'm glad that even though you're far away in Queensland, I was able to confirm an address here in Perth and then lodge papers at Court for you so that the Bailiffs could recover your vehicle. You are now well on the road to getting some closure, and I wish you all the best.

My former partner had a car which belonged to myself and refused to return it. As I did not know where the car's whereabouts, I asked pathfinder investigations to find the location of my vehicle. This was performed extremely quickly and professionally. Papers were also served on my former partner by pathfinder investigations. My overall experience with this company was exceptional. As this was the first time I had used this type of service I would highly recommend it. I would like to thank everyone involved for a professional and speedy service.

Thanks Janine, it was a pleasure to be of service to you, and I'm glad to see that the car was returned to you so quickly after the joint effort between us and your solcitor.

My brother, Jamie Herdman, went missing in 2006 and, despite searches and enquiries by the Police, me and other family members, we are all still puzzled as to what happened to him. Jan from Pathfinder Investigations specialises in this field and so we are delighted that she has persuaded the Police to let her have a copy of their case report, and that she will be going through it with a fine toothcomb. The Police have already said they'd be happy to re-open the case if she establishes new lines of enquiry, so this is a massive step forward for us. We're also reassured by her detailed progress reports, so we know we're getting a thorough investigation.

Thanks Carl, I'm happy to help. This is certainly an intriguing case.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of Jamie Herdman, please contact the National Missing Persons Coordination Centre on 1800 000 634 or Jan Ross on 0488 184 459 at any time.
