I have been here twice, once for a friends birthday and once for my husbands.

For my friends birthday the service was great, the atmosphere trendy but comfortable and the food was tasty, huge portions and great quality. I do not eat a lot of steak personally but the menu is varied enough so it suits anyone's taste. My hubby and 3 others participated in Jacks Challenge $49.95 - 1 kg rump, 1 kg of wedges and vegetables. 30 mins to finish and win a t-shirt and the meal on the house. My husband was the only one who finished the challenge, he was popping his jeans and the staff were entertaining and congratulatory.

When his birthday came about I decided to take him back, not for the challenge but for the service and food. I called and made a booking, making sure they were able to split bill which they confirmed they did. On the night the food was just as good, the atmosphere louder but it was more crowded and the service just as efficient, friendly and professional.

The only problem we had was when we came to pay, friends of ours left first but came back to the table in a hurry to inform us that whilst they did split bill they would only accept a card payment from one of the parties and everyone else had to pay in cash. I went down to speak to the cashier myself and was told it was standard company policy, I asked why I wasn't told this over the phone when I booked and was given the same line. No one at the table had any cash as we'd all come with our partners expecting to pay $50+ in food and drink. With no ATMs anywhere near the restaurant I was gearing up to drive 4 people to Eastland with me to find cash. Luckily someone had enough in their bank account to cover the total cost which came somewhere between $300-$400 whilst the rest of us scrambled to transfer money from our smartphones into their account to pay them back. I was very unhappy with the whole situation.

If someone invites me there now for a event I accept, making sure I take cash but I will not return from of my own accord. Otherwise service is normally great and food is lovely.

We dined here on a Living Social voucher ($50) and I am glad we did.
The restaurant was not busy and we were sat at our table quickly.
After we ordered our meal, we were waiting for a little while, then our table staff came out and asked if we had our entree yet. Immediately after we were asked if we had our entree another staff member brought it out, it was sitting in the kitchen.
For entree we got the Bush Pepper Calamari to share and is was cooked perfectly, not rubbery like some can be, and it tasted lovely.
Our main meal was Eye Fillet and Steak & Rib. Both were requested to be med/rare, the eye fillet was perfect but my steak was med. I didn't send it back as it would have taken too long for another to be cooked, but this did not spoil the experience.
The desert was larger then we thought, it was HUGH and I really didn't understand how big the Brownie was going to be, then my wife ordered the Apple slice.
The staff member told us the Brownie was like "Angels dancing on your tongue" and he was correct it was lovely. The desserts are large enough to be shared with 2 people.
So after the entree then the large main then the even bigger dessert, the top button was popping on the way home.
We had a very good meal here and apart from my steak being medium (which was not juicy - but not too dry) it was an enjoyable night.
We ordered:-
Entree 1-Bush Pepper Calamari to share
Main 1-Eye Fillet
1-Steak & Rib
Desert 1-Brownie
1-Apple Slice
All this accompanied with 1 VB then 2 coffee's
When we were leaving we went to the counter and the staff member told us our bill was $117, then we reminded her about the Living Social Voucher and we only had to pay for 1 dessert which was not part of the voucher.
The staff were very very friendly and the venue was clean and well presented. The music was too loud for me (50yr old), the video around the place was not too distracting for me, if I didn't want to watch the TV I just didn't look at it.
Hope they have another voucher offer as I will definitely purchase.
Thanks for a good meal.

Used a Living Social voucher, terrific value for money. Food very good although I wasn't too impressed with my steak...was ordered medium rare and found some of the meat chewy otherwise not a bad meal. Service you couldn't fault. Beautiful surroundings...

The food was as expected, and pretty much as described on the menu. One of our group had a steak and said it was done just as he had asked for it.
The wait staff were helpful and friendly and the kitchen staff seemed to do a good job of getting all the food out at once for each group.
The decor is appropriate for the type of restaurant that it is, and there is a kid-friendly room.
The music was hideous and very loud, but on request the waitress had it turned down to a bearable level. The noise came from video clips which were shown on multiple television screens around the restaurant. I would have preferred to not have to look at the antics of the people on the screens, but they were on every wall. I was there to have lunch with friends, not watch video clips.

Approximate cost: $25

I went to Outback Jacks with my family on the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised.. I had never been there before and since it was a new restaurant in the area we thought we would have a look.

The interior was amazing with a giant statue of a crocodile hanging on the roof and it had a very country feel to the dining rooms. The hostess took us to a back section of the restaurant where there was a kids room with video games and toy machines! After we were seated my toddler was given crayons and a great little colouring book.

The service did not stop there!!

The hostess let us know the $9.95 lunch specials and gave us menus to look over. After ordering our food was cooked in a good amount of time and tasted delicious!!!

I have to say that food and drink for 4 people including steak was a awesome price at $50 for everything!!

Service, food and atmosphere A+!!!

Approximate cost: $15
