We were really impressed with the food here. Most of it is made onsite. Not a huge menu, but enough to satisfy a wide variety of customers.
They have turkish focaccias, dips, wraps, quiche, gourmet salads, muffins, dessert items and they do a mean chicken parma, served with chips and salad, $17.
The hot chips are really nice too.
The quiche lorraine is full of meaty (NB not fatty) bacon and is delicious. Served with salad and chips for $12.
It's a small café so the staff are always close if you need anything!

Girls' lunch in town was our mission and here is where we chose to do it.
We were shown to the balcony overlooking the river and it was very pleasant, except when the hot sun peeked through the gaps between the awnings. It was much quieter outside than inside so we were able to enjoy a great catch-up chat.
The waitresses were ever-present to fill our glasses with water and did so for several hours!
The vegan salad tempted us all but only one of us chose it from the extensive menu. It was generous in size and had lots of yummy stuff in it.
The others went for the more traditional pasta and risotto, which were delicious also, though not as generous in size as the salad.
There is a large cabinet containing many luscious-looking cakes, and we decided to choose 3 and share them all - the tiramisu, the panna cotta and the apple strudel. The panna cotta came with tart lemon sorbet and the apple strudel was accompanied by rum and sultana icecream. It was all yummy.
Next time We are going to try the deep-fried gnocchi. They were very attractively presented and drew our attention instantly as they passed our table but, alas, we had eaten too much already.
Mmm... Now where to meet next time? Maybe here again!

The food here is reliably good.
I like the new dining room reburb, although the specials board has disappeared, and that always had an interesting variety of meals to choose from.
The staff are friendly and they have a movie meal deal which is not bad value - about $33 for a main, a drink and a movie ticket

It's hard to rate this company.
They peddle a lot of stuff and people must buy it, but a lot of it isn't worth much attention as far as I am concerned.
I bought something once and it turned out to be a lemon, and boy, did I have trouble with their customer service department!
However, I bought something else recently, and I needed to address a problem I had with the way the company works, and I actually got someone who was helpful. Lucky me, is all I can say. The matter was fixed within 3 emails.
So thanks, Cudo, for hiring that most helpful person!

My experience is different to most using this site. They do have a lot of magazines to choose from, and their prices can be quite attractive, but my reason for reviewing is the customer service. I had participated in a 'buy this, get that free' promotion, where the free item was a magazine via Magshop. Unfortunately my claim code disappeared mysteriously from my inbox and I thought I had lost my chance for the free magazine.
I thought I'd contact Magshop to see if they would help me, and had no expectation that they would, since I was getting something for nothing, but they replied immediately with the claim code I needed. I was then able to get my free magazine.
I was really impressed because they stood to gain nothing from telling me the code. In fact what they gained is a satisfied customer!

It is a bit different to your run of the mill cafe, being a large barn of a place. The decor offers interesting things to look at, and there are several arty shops on site if you fancy browsing while you wait. We found it a bit breezy inside, so take a jacket just in case.
The food was quite good, although the hot chips looked a bit anaemic and didn't have the texture we expected. The salad was good, and when requested they substituted the mixed lettuce with cos lettuce. The coffee was very nice, not at all bitter.
The wait staff were helpful and friendly.
We didn't think it was overpriced at all, in fact the prices seemed quite reasonable to us.

Approximate cost: $16

LET THE BUYER BEWARE!
This company operates a reward program that is tied to several businesses Australia-wide. If you want to earn points at several businesses that run the program you must join up with each of the businesses. The points from one business do not add to those you earn from other businesses.
You earn points when you make a purchase, and can go into prize draws as well as redeeming your points in the store where they were earned. This part of the scheme I have no problem with.
But what I do have a problem with is when they send you emails promising entries in draws that lead you to ONLINE GAMBLING SITES, and sites where they promise you prizes if you will just enter your mobile number.
Again I say, LET THE BUYER BEWARE!
The sites where you enter your mobile number will cost you dearly. They will send you SMS messages at PREMIUM rates which YOU have to pay for when you receive them, even though you don't want them.
This kind of practice is SHAMEFUL and DELIBERATELY MISLEADING AND SNEAKY, and VERY EXPENSIVE.
I was not caught by this scam but many must be.
I won't be taking any notice of their emails any more, except when they are telling me my points balance.

I can't believe this place hasn't yet been reviewed!
It is right in Fed Square, with the orange market umbrellas.
The staff is multi-cultural, so check it out if you need to practise your foreign languages! Seriously, they are keen to make your visit enjoyable.
The food came out really fast; we were surprised. It was your regular cafe fare, but there is an extensive menu, with something for everyone, and it is served attractively.
A great place to meet, so easy to find, and it is in the Entertainment Book as well!

What is great about this place is that it has lots of rooms. So if you book, and have enough people to fill it, I imagine you can have a nice quiet room away from the noisy main, front room.
The service is good, friendly and attentive.
You can walk in on street level from the highway, but there are a lot of steps inside, including the way to what looks like the only toilet. There is a car park at the rear, accessed by a lane off Warrandyte Rd which is used by Officeworks customers also.
The food is high quality and there is a lot to choose from. If you go at 11.00am you get to choose from the breakfast menu AND the lunch menu, to increase your choices.
The coffee was brilliant, but I thought the food was overpriced.
If you choose well, you could get out without having taken a loan to pay for it.
Having said that, everyone in our group enjoyed what they had.
