We can't thank Anne and David enough for their compassion and care in helping us honor our dear friend. We didn't want a traditional funeral and Anne thought outside the box and found us a beautiful venue in the hills that was perfect. No request we made was too hard and their calm and compassionate way made a difficult time less difficult. Everything ran so smoothly and we did not have to worry about a thing because we knew they had it all under control.

Our family has entrusted Anne and David with two funerals within the last 12 months, both of which were delivered with genuine warmth and respect. Anne understood our family’s wishes perfectly and helped us create two perfect ceremonies, the most recent only a few days ago. Anne is personable and easy to deal with - her suggestions for everything from the floral arrangements to the ceremony to the catering were perfect, without ever pushing any unnecessary "up-sells" onto us. Cannot recommend highly enough.

My family and I are so thankful for the compassion and support Oakdale have given us, from the very first phone call I made when Mum was in palliative care, to the beautiful service they helped us to hold. Josephine was so perceptive to our needs, even ones we didn’t know we had. Her recommendations on the florist, booklets, caskets, urns etc. were excellent and her suggestions on how to make the funeral service more personal were much appreciated. And on the day of the funeral, we felt her warmth and kindness while her superb project management skills allowed me to just focus on being fully present with my family. My family and guests commented afterwards on how well organized the funeral was, from the time we arrived in the chapel to the refreshments in the function room. The service and support from everyone I've spoken to at Oakdale have been simply outstanding and excellent value.

Oakdale Funerals were everything I didn’t know I needed. Anne was amazing from the very moment I called in the super early hours of the morning, distraught and distressed after loosing my father unexpectedly. She was so kind and compassionate to me and was very communicative every step of the way. She let me know when her lovely team had collected my dear dad and I felt great comfort knowing they were respectful and caring to my father and my wishes in all preparations. She sat patiently while I cried at making decisions, listened to my memories. She consoled me in the raw phases of my grief, as it was all very overwhelming. We even shared a few chuckles along the way. Anne held the service and did so well honouring my dad and his life. The Hot Rod was the absolute cherry on top for me. My father a Ford fan made his last car ride in style!
I am eternally grateful to Anne, and the team. I couldn’t have done it without them. I will never forget the kindness and compassion and genuine feeling of care they gave me and my dad. I miss my Dad everyday, Yet knowing I got to give him the best possible care and send off made all the difference. From the bottom of my heart I Thank you.

I can't begin to tell you how grateful my dad, sister, and I are for Anne and David's caring and thoughtful approach. They knew just what to do and how to guide us during the most difficult time of our lives. They were so caring and empathetic and never overstepped but guided us when we were unable to see clearly. Anne and David, words cannot describe how beautiful and respectful your services are. We as a family are so thankful that we were able to say goodbye to our Nanny in a way that she would be so proud of and grateful for. Thank you for allowing us to bring in our own home grown flowers to lay down for her. Thank you for giving us the space and time to take it all in, breathe and to gather around to have our own family “ceremony” before you allow the rest of the guests to enter. At such a sad and emotional time you provided us with the strength to see past our grief which allowed us to create a beautiful tribute and celebration of my wonderful mums life. You were always there to guide us from the start to our final farewell. We loved your idea of the candle lighting which included all mums children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I’m sure mum would of been very chuffed with her send off.
