I thought this restauront was great and fairly priced. Some of the meals you can order are massive platters. Staff were friendly and the food came out super quick.

This restaurant is primely located on the port/wharf area in Cairns, which means you get a lovely view when you sit down to eat and drink.

Meals felt a little lacklustre if I am being honest, however the atmosphere of the place and the service made for a better dining experience in general.

I don't often go out to eat but as it was a friends birthday I went along. The service was great. The meal was served quickly and steaming hot. After the meal we had a birthday cake which all the waitresses bought out singing happy birthday. They also took the cake back and served it up with cream as an extra touch. Great attention for detail.

I'm only giving Dundees a satisfactory score,as its food there is great sometimes, but other times its just disappointing.the staff are many, and very helpful.restaurant is right on the use so divine views, lovely breezes and is surprisingly quiet and relaxing!i went here two years ago and had a very gluggy pasta, then went a year ago for excellent surf n turf..another 5months after that had bad hot cold seafood platter, then went again last week and had a womderful tasting $40 plate of yabbies.so not sure if its different chefs or something, but its a always a gamble for me.

We went there for a Christmas party. Service was shocking to the point of non-existent at times. Meal was very average. I won't go again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Enjoyed a delightful lunch at Dundees today. The $15 lunch menu has a great selection to suit all tastes and the portion sizes were very generous, except for the duck spring rolls - 3 very small rolls - avoid the duck if you're really hungry! Service was generally very good, I did notice our bowl of chips languishing on the counter for quite some time which was a little annoying considering the restaurant wasn't very busy.
In summary one of the best lunches I've had in a long time, can't wait to return for more.

Dining at Dundees is so up and down. We have been on a few occasions, usually with functions on others requests and have found that the food is either really good or less than average. We dined for lunch last week and both ordered the Seafood chowder (which we have had before). This time it was disappointing!! It came out with a skin on, so reheated and then left, and the usual large chunks of seafood were missing. Instead replaced with tiny little once frozen mussels and a total lack of seasoning. They didn't leave the seasonings on the table, and it really gets to much to keep asking for pepper as the soup lacked flavour. The bowls were much smaller than the previous week as well, but the price wasn't! We won't be back. The most positive thing is the view and friendly staff.
