Worst haircut I’ve had. Ever.

The person scheduled to cut my hair ran an errand and was more than 10 minutes late to my appointment. She later conceded that she was eight minutes late, but it was actually longer by the time she actually addressed me and our appointment started. This was a bizarre concession on her part because she obviously shouldn’t have been late to begin with and she didn’t even apologise or explain. She didn’t even introduce herself. I had no idea what her name was until I looked it up online.

I told her what I wanted. She then told me what she wanted to do. I went in for a trim intending to take two inches off my hair. I am open to suggestions, so I was fine with her recommending taking “more” off. However, she chopped off more than four inches from the bottom and gave me a choppy, unevenly cut style from the 90s which I loathe. It’s shaggy and extremely unflattering. She didn’t ask me where I part my hair or how I style it. Midway through I told her she was cutting too much off and it was too short, and she said, “Let’s just see how it looks at the end. I’m an oldie but I know how to cut hair.” She apparently cuts hair based on styles from 30+ years ago. I hate having chunky layers and my hair is chopped into pieces and flips out at weird angles when it is blown dry. As a result of this haircut, I now have long bangs that are at that awkward length when you are trying to grow them out but can't quite pull them back. I told her to stop cutting at one point. I now use hair clips and barrettes to pull my hair up and never have it down. I even sleep with it in a bun.

I tried to speak up a few times during the ordeal to indicate that I was concerned, and yet she didn't stop. At the end, she repeatedly said that she likes the way it looks as if that’s what matters. I paid her and left because it was an awkward and extremely unpleasant experience, and I was speechless. I left nearly in tears.

I went back within the hour to confront her about the her poor service which I have never done before. Once again, when I arrived she was nowhere to be found, so I waited for her. Again. Eventually she returned and she told me to take a seat and wait for her to serve someone else and then she would talk to me. I wasn’t about to wait for an hour for her to “do” someone else’s hair. I requested my money back. She had the gall to tell me she would give me a credit. Her claim about knowing how to cut hair is extremely overrated. Her service didn’t demonstrate any level of skill. She actually spent less time than I’m accustomed to when someone cuts my hair. It feels and looks very unprofessional. I actually feel depressed because of my hair.

Toward the end of this interaction, she said, “I told you what I was going to do, and you said yes.” I told her I did say “yes” but I can’t control the scissors. At this point, she lost it and removed her mask (enforced due to COVID) and kept trying to make her point that I allegedly consented to this haircut that I loathe. This was unpleasant.

She then told me we could look at video footage to establish how much hair she cut off. I told her I had photos from the day before that would serve the same purpose, but I told her I was happy to look at CCTV footage too. She cut off so much there is really no argument here. The front half of my head has long straggly bangs, the rest is longer but not even. She kept telling me to take a seat and wait so we could view the video (weird, right?). I told her I returned to express my discontent with her service. I have to look at this "hairstyle" which doesn’t suit me at all for at least a year now until it grows out to a degree where I can get someone to fix it.

To the business owner: Be professional and stop blaming your ineptitude on your customer. You are in a service-oriented role. Seek to understand your client’s needs first and foremost. Your ego needs to take a backseat. You should also brush up on your actual skills. If you would have done what was requested, this wouldn’t be an issue. Listen more and speak less.

Note: She has received many poor reviews. Unfortunately, I just found them. Beware.

I booked to have my roots touched up and when I arrived the salon seemed very disorganised, and was decorated in a cheap, tacky way. A lady who I assume was the owner gave me a very strange welcome. I waited a good 10 minutes before being sat down, offered some water in a wine glass before I was quoted $150 for roots, or $250 for roots, toner and blow dry... I spend plenty of money on my appearance and even to me this is extortion. I politely declined and walked out. I’d honestly rather have greys than go to this place.

I purchased a Groupon for a haircut at this place. Don’t do it! I was told when booking in my hair will cost an extra $40 to cut on top of what I paid for the Groupon voucher. So deceiving! I told the woman on the phone not to worry about it and I’ll take it up with Groupon. The terms and conditions mention an extra $25 fee for longer hair but $40 is an absolute rip off and not in the terms and conditions on Groupon. Basically lost my money and could have went to a number of salons and paid the standard price for a chop. Crooks at this place.

What a let down.

I purchased a hair cut/half head highlights groupon for Corcorz and was told by the stylist that my hair was classed as "medium" and would need to pay $80 extra. The terms and conditions stated extra charges applied for "long hair"; my hair only just touched my shoulders!

This was pretty dissapointing news seeing as I had just freed up my whole afternoon for a hair-do. So I asked the stylist if I could just have a hair cut for the scoopon that I purchased and even for that they wanted to charge extra! I told the hairdresser not to even bother and walked out of the salon hugely disappointed.

I would not normally give feedback this negative but experience this has ruined my week and is the reason I distrust hairdressers.

A friend and I planned a trip to Corcorz salon with pre-paid living social vouchers. I sat down and my hairdresser decided my hair was classed as long (despite it barely touching my shoulders) and informs me that for me to get what I paid for in my voucher it would be an additional $150.

When I pushed back all attention was drawn to me as a "problematic customer". The stylist had a laugh saying that this happens all the time. My friend ended up paying $50 for a standard haircut despite also having a voucher.

I walked out after informing the manager that this whole ordeal was obviously causing them customers. No concern or sympathy was given and I'm $65 out of pocket with nothing to show.

Also, am mortified.

The worst hair cut I have ever had, also accompanied by one of the worst customer services ever experienced.

After duly booking my visit over the phone to redeem a voucher, I was made to wait a good half hour before finally being invited to take a seat, only to be left waiting another 20 minutes before I finally decided to approach someone to check whether they would like me to come back another time.

Because it was clear that I was somehow annoyed by the wait, a senior stylist tried to step in and offered to take care of me herself - specifying that she does not normally have customers with a voucher, because her haircuts cost $150+. Well noted, then before reaching the wash basins, she told me she was going to charge me extra for the length of my hair (not even touching my shoulders at the time) claiming that it was long, and that "your hair touches your neck, of course you have to pay more". I was there with a Groupon indeed and the fine print only stated extra charge for long hair (over the shoulders).

So we started arguing about this clause and eventually I said that regardless of the Groupon, which I would have gotten refunded anyway, the customer service was the most appalling issue: the fact that instead of trying to "win me" as a new customer, they treated me like I was just a $19 voucher hence unworthy of their attention (the wait, the rudeness, etc.).

It must have been at that point that she had the inspiration. She changed her attitude at once, even tried to apologize and said she would still cut my hair without extra charge. Of course I was hesitant, realistically I only wanted a mere trim, nothing major or too complicated - something that could have really fallen within the $19 bracket.

Well, without much surprise she went on and just randomly cut my hair in the worst possible way, in my opinion intentionally doing a bad job to get back at me. I thanked her, left and ended up getting my hair beautifully fixed elsewhere.

For these reasons, and the fact that whilst waiting I personally witnessed the staff mocking some other customers, I would never recommend this business to anyone

This place is horrible. Had a weekly blow dry voucher and every time I went in I had to hear about my hair needing the keratin package for 600. On the last time I went in they were rudely talking to another client about me while I was sitting within ear shot. I would never recommend anyone to get their hair done here. And have never been back since.

I have to agree with other reviewers, if the owner wasn't there insulting me, I would go back. I liked my stylist and I like the end result, HOWEVER the owner barged in and TOLD me and them that I NEEDED a particular color and NEEDED to have lots cut off my hair. She then pulled my stylist away (after I was given a quote) and had they had a "chat", My stylist then came back and told me it was going to cost an additional $80.......I was bullied into agreeing, then the owner game back AGAIN and said I needed more stuff.

My initial quote was $165, when I went to pay it was nearly $300... Well payed to the owner, but I wont be back and I'm happy to tell EVERYONE not to go to this salon, unless you like being degraded and bullied.

I have been going weekly as I have a weekly blowdry for 6 months voucher.First time i was in the owner/manager criticised in a very loud voice my hair colour, hair style and then tried to sell me an overpriced Keratin treatment { around $250}.I wanted to use my c0lour voucher but with the toner {$60} for a start was negligible against the overall cost . I can get my hair done in a local salon for $125 all in with friendly service.I have seen this woman yell at her staff who for the most part are very young.Argue on the shop floor.I will use up my weekly blowdry voucher and move on.I will not pay good money for bad service and a poor salon atmosphere. It must be very unpleasant to work there.Thank God for me it's only once a week. It's like being in a Fawlty Towers episode!

It was the worst place to work ever !! Never got paid either !!

i had a terrible experience with this hair salon .i went in with a voucher worth $49.00..i wanted foil n trim
I told d hair styler what i wanted done than she went n talked to carol d owner. Carol approached me n said no this could not be done because yr hair had 2 different color as it was and your hair need to be strip from d top to d end than we will color and foil than trim .carol spoke very loud in front of customers just to get u down very2x quickly. In my opinion it is A TRICK FOR ALL CUSTOMERS WITH VOUCHERS SO D CUSTOMERS PAY MORE FOR D HAIR ...than i end up paying $140 extra for d service. .she gave me a discount voucher worth $50.00 for next visit ...
when i checked d voucher they just gave me i realized d voucher expiry date was only 1WEEK AWAY...so i could not use it.. I WILL NEVER COMEBACK TO THIS SALON ...ONLY VERY FEW CUSTOMERS GAVE THEM 5 STARS.
MOST WERE UNHAPPY WITH BAD EXPERIENCE. ..D WORST HAIR DRESSER I EVER VISITED....
