I ordered a calendar for a Christmas present on 25 Nov. It said it was in stock and would ship in around a week.
Today (17 Dec) I thought I should follow up because I had heard nothing since my order confirmation. Surprise, surprise! They write back saying the calendar 'has gone out of print and we will be unable to supply your order.'
They are refunding my payment.
Two things:
What would have happened if I hadn't followed up with them? Would they have just kept my money?
Why wasn't I informed that the order couldn't be filled sometime within the three weeks from when I ordered until when I followed up. Were they just planning on keeping my money and not sending the product.
I don't think they can be trusted and I will never use them again.

This place is a joke. I ordered a book on 20/02/13 when it was showing in stock. 4 weeks later I still hadn't received the book or any updates to I checked the order page and it now said it was on order from their suppler. It turns out they had emailed some customers about it but not all, and when I queried it they just sent me the same scripted email saying it would be sent late March. It's now April and still no update.

I've read articles saying bookworld is taking on amazon, not much chance of that.

Bookworld.com.au is the future for book stores, with more and more bricks and mortar book shops closing down and more online ones cropping up.

The benefits of Bookworld are that they offer a massive range of new release and older (not too far back into the past) books from all around the world at quite reasonable prices.

They also have special discounted prices if you are a member of their website, which costs nothing, you simply have to sign up to get regular promotional emails from Bookworld.

Postage is free all around Australia, and when you compare the value of the books to those on other sites Bookworld comes out top of the tree.

Bookworld is increasingly offering e-books as they become more popular as well, and Bookworld is offering them at a reasonable price as well.

Book accessories such as e-readers and the like are also offered by Bookworld, a comprehensive online book store that is definitely the way of the future for all things books and reading.

This is really interesting information, I'm always enthused for anything to do with books and reading, so I'll be sure to check it out.
Thanks for the review.

I purchased a book from here last week, it was $39.99 in bookshops and I got it from bookworld for only $28.79 which included free shipping! I was stoked at the price difference, especially at Xmas time where all $$ savings help. They are a lot cheaper than other book shops I have seen, including ebay. The book was delivered within a week, exactly what I'd ordered, perfect condition etc. I ended up buy another book off them today because once again the price was the cheapest and it was free postage. Highly recommend

Approximate cost: $29
