Absolutely fantastic service. My (older) car stopped working and they kept working on it until it was up and running again. Great explanation about what caused the problem and not treated differently because I have no idea about cars. Very competitive pricing. I live in Hawthorn now and still take my car to Northcote because Carmel and Bill are amazing. Do not hesitate to take your car here.

My vehicle needed a yearly service and as I am new to the area I googled and chose Northcote Automotive based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I now know why they're so highly regarded. Patient explanations of repairs needed (which I greatly appreciate, knowing nothing about cars), reasonable costing, and my car is really running much better. I have found my new mechanic.

Hands down the best vehicle workshop experience I have ever had. Run by a fantastic couple, they were lovely, knowledgeable, honest and Bill showed me all of the parts he had replaced. Massive integrity and professionalism. Look no further!

Third time I've been back to this small family business, and once again all aspects were superb - from booking the car in, to clear communication on what was required and pricing, to picking it up and having a great chat to owners Carmel and Bill.

The car is humming along nicely after it's 100 000km major service, all work was done to budget (including some extra stuff that was needed), and I'll be a 'life member' of these guys for sure.

If you're in the area, don't take your car anywhere else!

These guys are amazing. Really friendly and helpful. Excellent and explaining what needs doing and offering options. Keen to point out cheaper options or when things can wait and that is rare! Highly recommend these guys. Very trustworthy.

A very friendly and approachable business as well as being super professional and efficient. Fantastic customer care. Carmel was really clear and upfront in her communication with me about my car and the repairs it needed which was great. She also prepared a list for me (with quotes) for things I still need to get fixed, so I can budget for these repairs in advance. And as part of the service, Bill adjusted the drive belts on my car for free which I really appreciated. I cannot recommend this business highly enough and am very happy that I have found such reliable auto care. Thanks heaps Carmel and Bill.
