The one stop place to get all your fruit and veggies. Best to go from around 1pm, thats when all the discounts happen. Crowded indeed, rude people may bump into you without apologising. Always keep an eye on your belongings.

Great range of fruits, veggies and other fresh produce. Gets very crowded on Friday and Saturday but worth the trip!

the quality of food is fantastic, service is ok, prices are good but better if you go on the weekends. I don't like crowds much & it tends to be VERY crowded on the w/ends so I like to go on a Tuesday instead.

The is a great place for fresh cheap fruit and veg plus meat. There are hundreds of stalls with bargains everywhere. Its a great place to visit if your not from Adelaide as well.

I love the central markets. There isn't anything you can't find there. The stalls stock everything from regular groceries to fine food from across the globe. Some stalls can be a little dodgy but most aren't and its easy to learn where the best place is for a particular product.

Does well for locals and tourists. Seemingly effortless atmosphere, plenty of variety, enviable prices, convenient parking.

I just LOVE the Central Markets! So much to choose from, the only problem is you never leave with only what was on your list. It is great that you can choose cheap items which are of decent quality, or spend more to really indulge. Especially love the fruit and veg, meat, cheese and breads. the only problem is parking is expensive, and once you've bought all you want it can be difficult to carry to the bus! The food courts are excellent too.

love the markets! i often come here on a friday night and have dinner at the food courts. i particularly like the asian groceries and after dinner we have this awesome pancake that you can get with different fillings from a place called "bun chef"...
so many great stores and stalls that sell fresh, cheap and exciting food...and great places to have breakfast and coffee. The big table (if you can get a seat) is great for breakfast , but only before 1230 i think. they serve awesome scrambled eggs on turkish bread and even better coffee. Zuma's is great too and Lucia's is great for italian.
the markets is an experience as well as a gastromic delight to anyone who enjoys food and cooking!
