I bought a not inexpensive queen size bed but discovered that the design is faulty and allows the mattress to slide up under the headboard. This then leaves a gap at the other end between the end of the mattress and the foot of the bed; it not only looks ugly but means you often bang your leg on the sharp corner because you expect the end of the mattress to be the end of the bed (a not unreasonable assumption). I complained and even sent photos but they said that there are varying sizes of Queen mattresses and this can happen sometimes... well I've had three queen beds previously and all fitted the mattresses perfectly – what a crock that excuse is! They insisted if I wanted anything fixed that I bring the bed back at my own expense, which being a queen size bed is not easy (they delivered it). As the fault is theirs I would have expected better service and would not recommend this company or their beds.

Also – check 'Trust value' of reviews on this page (under 80 means the only verification was an email address)... some seem a little too good to be true

don't be fooled by this sudden gesture of goodwill folks... this is the same company that when I sent them a photo of the bloody gash on my leg from hitting the bed end said "we find that after hitting the bed a few times our customers usually learn to be more cautious". How's that for compassion!

sorry, I just found the email and have misquoted their response to the photo of my bleeding leg, what they actually said (word for word) was "As far as banging into the timber frame we find that sooner or later our customer finds the pain a good deterrent." Yes folks, this is the service you get from this company if something goes wrong and up until you make a public complaint. I went to Bunnings and have fixed my sliding mattress problem myself so I won't be taking down my review as I feel people have a right to know how this company treats customers who have a problem.

Recently picked up a cloud 9 mattress - a tiny bit more expensive than I'd originally planned to spend, but totally worth it. Best sleep I've had in my life. Excellent staff, great service.

Buying our bed and mattress at Natural Bedding was a great decision. We love our latex/hemp mattress! It's more comfortable than any of the latex mattresses we tried in larger bedding stores and it ended up being significantly cheaper. I also felt more confident buying from Natural Bedding because they are a small company that is really passionate about their products and it's clearly high quality workmanship.

Once we got to the Natural Bedding store, we saw how gorgeous the bed frames were as well and ended up getting both the bed and mattress with a great discount.

Customer service was fantastic-very professional and friendly. Our bed was supposed to take 5 weeks to be custom made and delivered and it ended up taking less than 2 weeks! Amazing! I highly recommend this company to anyone, it is simply excellent.

Incredibly patient and attentive customer service. We were so excited to find an Australian company that makes organic beds and mattresses entirely free from the chemical nasties to be found in the beds you find in standard bedding stores. We live in Adelaide and they made it really easy for us to feel confident in ordering from interstate. In addition to the bed base and mattress, they made us a bespoke upholstered bedhead - all organic, chemical free and cheaper than any other bespoke headboards we found.

After years of wondering, I got best bed I've ever slept on (latex and hemp, mainly a full slab of latex with tiny pores/holes that compress and return to a perfect shape. My partner and I joke that it's like sleeping on a cloud. I did go to commercial bed stores in Canberra and tried their normal looking latex matresses but they we're just like a normal matress so we drove the 3 hours to Sydney, tried out all the beds, liked the latex (allergy) one the most but found it a little firm so paid an extra $500 to get the wool and hemp overlay, and it's great. It was delivered (quite cheap!) within a week. If we could, we'd buy a second as a spare bed (double) but will get the plain cotton futon mattress instead (hardly anyone stays). Only suggestions would be that the showroom can only accommodate double

I experienced customer service at The Natural Bedding Company like never before in the entire 10 years I live in Australia.

They made custom furniture for me, they then amended the design even further with no surcharge, I got exactly what I wanted, and in the end even received a refund as less material had been needed.

They were 100% helpful, friendly and customer minded. I wished all businesses in Australia were operating like that. I hope I have a big house soon, so that I can buy many more of the beautiful products they make at the Natural Bedding Company!

My biggest requirement was an all-natural mattress - I don't like the idea of sleeping with flame-retardants and petro-chemical foams :-P

These guys matched my request with 100% natural latex with wool, all wrapped up in hemp fabric. Even better - it is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on.

I now have the same for my sofabed. You know that little internal groan you just did when I mentioned sofabed? Send it packing - gone are the days when you have to sacrifice comfort for space, this one is as comfy as my real bed (my guests rave about it :-)
