Our night sail was fine, cabin was clean and comfortable. We slept well. Food not great, very expensive and no vegan options. On our return trip however-we needed urgent advice with regards to changing previously booked dates due to medical urgency. It was a Sunday that we found out we needed to cut our holiday short and return home, we soon found out there wasn't any information online to answer the questions we had. We called the info number, but were advised no one answers the phone on a Sunday, and to leave a message. We were told via a recording someone would call us back. In the brief message I left, I explained there was a medically urgent reason for my call. No one called back, so we had to pay for a full second fare to get our family home, as we had no advice or information to go on.
Absolutely ripped off, and absolutely appalling service. In follow up communications we were simply told we should've had travel insurance. No refunds offered no empathy no apologies.
The day sail was terrible, as it took our family of 5 over 3 hours to find seating for the day as staff refused to ask people to move feet and bags off seats, all this whilst our sick child remained with no where to rest. As we had spent time in hospital we were exhausted. Had my call been answered or returned, I could've flown home with my sick child for $150 (in an hour and 30mins..) and the remaining family could've taken the ferry as originally booked, saving us over $350 and an agonising trip. Appalled at the service and disgusted we couldn't have the information we needed when we needed it.
Pure negligence.
