Eric is one of the best handymen I've ever seen. His prompt, eager to assist attitude is a breath of fresh air. Eric came and fixed gates at my house, rehung up my dyer and fixed up a couple of other little things round the house. His work was excellent and his people skills even better, he explains everything and his work is all fully guaranteed to go the distance. I have no hesitation in recommending a guy that can fix just about anything around your home.

This place is very new and after coming back from my baby leave holidays decided to try it out. What drew me in first was the look of it, it's very modern and everything looks inviting. They had a good selection of food but I just chose a basic burger which I was quite pleased with. I also ordered a coffee and that was made quite well too. The downside to all this was the nearly 20 minute wait I thought it was a bit excessive, but I couldn't fault the food. Plenty of seating, you can watch the city go by. Price is ok. Would go again, wouldn't mind trying breakfast next.

We had Tony come out to check our washer and new dryer and also to replace some hoses. Tony arrived right on time and very very professional. He fixed our problems very quickly and went beyond that to advise us on ways to improve our set up. His service was well priced and he was very friendly. I'd not hesitate to recommend him.

This review is for Hogan's, Wellington Point QLD

Located on the main street of Wellington Point, Hogan's caters for everyone, you can have lunch, dinner, casual drinks. I've been there for all those and thoroughly had a nice time. There are heaps of places inside to eat or if you prefer there are also some outdoor spots. My wife and I often go here as a date night to enjoy their steak and chips. If you are lucky enough you might even catch some live entertainment. The Staff are really friendly and the meals are pretty varied and well priced. I will say one thing, please be mindful that as this is a night time venue also it can often be a bit noisy and sometimes the younger ones get a bit roudy. I've not had any problems, but I have seen some bad behaviour in the past. I prefer to have my dinner early to avoid the crowds and that way I can enjoy my wife's company or friends with a bigger group. It's also great as a venue for a birthday. Give it a try, I love it.

This review is for Transcontinental Hotel, Brisbane QLD

The trans as it's well known, has been around for ages. I've been going there since about 1996 and I've watched this place evolve. The owners are not sitting on their hands, instead making improvements constantly. They've catered for all types of people on all budgets and the $10 lunches continue to please, I had not been in a few months so decided to go back to have lunch and again I must say they have dressed the place up even more. There are not too many places you can get a lunch of the standard that they provide for the $10 mark. The service is excellent and it's a great place to go either on your own or as a group. Whether you go there on a day trip to the city or actually are one of the workers in there, it's worth a look. This place is for adults, so please don't take your kids!

Brilliant, love this place, funky modern and full of great mexican spice. I had a naked burrito. To explain what that is it's essentially a burrito in a bowl minus the tortilla. You then get to add salsa and other things you may like. Their food is absolutely amazing and I'm glad I chose to try it. I also recommend there Grande Melt, delicious. Friendly staff, great feed and good pricing. What are you waiting for?

This review is for Mac's Takeaway, Capalaba QLD

verified email - 14 Jan 2014

I think everyone gets a bit time poor sometimes and you need to get a quick bite to eat. Luckily for my wife and I we had a good take away shop on the way home. With a baby on board time was vital. Mac's takeaway did a great job of putting together a nice serve of barrumundi and chips for $8.50 each. (not too bad I thought). The chips were well made and fresh to go and the fish was pretty good but I still itched for something a bit nicer. Whilst there I noticed they do some great burgers and going by the tradesmen sitting outside eating, they must be pretty good. Perhaps they are worth a shot. The staff were also pretty friendly, the owner was a bit hard to understand but just a lovely guy and very helpful. It's definitely worth a look.

No cost, lots of information. This paper is great, it has all my favourite things, news, events in my area and all for free. I've also used this paper for finding a job and when I've wanted to find out about shows in my areas. My favourite thing remains the local news.

This review is for Fasta Pasta, Victoria Point QLD

verified email - 14 Jan 2014

I've been to fasta pasta many times because of it's good value, they always have good deals on and I feel I get alot for my money. Going their for dinner recently I was a little bit disappointed though, the steak was a tiny peace of meat and the chips were not even hot. It was very noisy and staff were not at all helpful. I find going there for lunch is better and having one of their $8.90 lunches, they have about 8 different selections and I have about 3 of those and no complaints so far. Overall a nice place, cheap to go and great for families on a budget, just wish the dinners were a bit better.

If it were for the view, 5 stars, if it were for the kind service, 5 stars. Value pretty good too. Now for the food, firstly it looked good, really good infact. So what went wrong? I think it was missing the flavour, the indian food I had was bland and tasteless. I chose to have one of their Korma dishes and must say it was just edible at best. The breads I got were ok and passable but the main was just in real need of something that resembles flavour. This was my first time there so I would need to go again to give it another shot. But my first impressions rather ordinary. Good service got this place to 3 stars.
