Was passing today and popped in. What a great place. They had so many different things to buy at great prices.
I bought a lovely print of a ginger cat for $5, a digital Trivial pursuit game for $7 and a lovely handbag for $8
Not only did I get a bargain, but I know that the RSPCA will get the money.
I just wish I had more time to look around.
I understand they are open till 4pm during the week and on Saturday mornings.

Lovely High tea this afternoon.
The food was all home made and just right.
There was so much variety.
Staff were prompt and were not "in your face" and let you get on with enjoying your friends company
Can't wait to go back

After trying many hairdressers and being disappointed and overcharged, I mentioned this to a friend who asked me why I don't try her hairdresser. Today my sister and I made an appointment at Hairworks.
What a fantastic time and a great hairdo !
We were both very happy and the price was great.
We both asked the hairdresser for her advice and felt very confident with her suggestions.
There was no waiting around feeling that your colour may have been left in too long while the hairdresser did two peoples hair at the same time, there was no attempt to sell you an expensive product that my hair must have to look good and my hair was washed and conditioned wonderfully and was finished with a great head massage.
Ladies, thanks for looking after us today so well. Can't wait for my next appointment

Drive past often and noticed signs or dinner specials so decided to have lunch there on Monday.
As we booked in we saw many advertisements for dinner deals.
When we got the menu we horrified to see that the main meals were all in the $25 plus range.
We decided to just have the 3 tapas dishes to share ($21) and chips with aoli. ($8)
The tapas was 3 crumbed chicken wings and 5 garlic prawns and 3 duck spring rolls. The chips was a very small plate ($8)
Not a lot of food for the money and the chips were cold (they were replaced when I complained)
Won't be going back

My sister and I went ther last Sunday with the idea of taking a group of our friends there for a High Tea in the future.
They need 24 hours notice for the High Tea (which is fair enough)
My sister had Chai Latte and baked Camembert and I had a Bolands soft drink and a pastie.
The chai latte was lovely as she had the choice of tea leaves or syrup, but the drink was only small. The baked Camembert was lovely. When it was served, she asked for a lemon lime and bitters as she had finished the latte,
My drink is an American drink I love which is in a small bottle, but it was silly to serve it with a HUGE glass as it just made it look silly.
My pastie I was served was over cooked, flat and not very tasty. It had obviously been microwaved to heat it as the outside was soft and the inside was red hot. It was served with a salad of a few lettice leave, 2 cherry tomatoes and a few onion rings. No dressing and with the dry pastie, not very nice.
We had nearly finished eating when we were told that "they didnt have any bitters", (it had been so long since she ordered it, she had forgotten all about it) so my sister declined to order another drink as we were nearly finished.
I had also ordered Tea, scone and double cream to follow as I really wasnt full.
The tea was lovely, the scone was large enough to cut into 4 quarters and nice and light, but the "double cream ??" I am sure it was canned cream and certainly not "double cream". When you get a scone and get a little bowl of jam and cream, you tend to then have to work a mathimatical equation top make sure you dont use all the jam or cream up before you have finished the scone. The fact that it was "canned cream"meant that the cream "deflated" as I used it and I could only put a little bit on each quarter of the scone.
Also, the floor boards were shakey, so EVERY time the staff walked to and from the kitched, our table shook a little,
It cost $44, and I am sure if I had gone to somehere else, I would have had a better experience.
It might have been a bad day for them, but I wont be back to find out.

We drove past last weekend and popped in for "fresh seafood".
We had crumbed scollops - lovely. We had crumbed prawns - NOT fresh and a real dissapointment
To go to a fish and chip shop on the coast which boasts fresh seafood and be served what was obviously frozen crumbed prawns is a disgrace. There is no excuse

Terrible. DO NOT look at the photo on their website and expect the picture to indicate what to expect.
First High Tea was 2 - 4pm. We arrived at 1.55pm and waited in the other area while they set up. (Might have been a good time to take our tea order, but they didnt)
At 2pm we were shown to a seat and given a glass of champers- that was nice.
It went downhill fast from there
A few minutes later our High Tea stand arrived
Tea order was taken at 2.20pm and the tea range was very limited and was tea bags.
Lets get to the High Tea stand
Bottom layer - 4 small sandwiches, 4 biscuits with salmon and a triangle of focaccia with cucumber. Sandwiches were very plain and not very neat. Some of the crusts were cut off, not all. The biscuits and salmon are not really High Tea material. The cucumber on the Focaccia was ordinary and didn't even have the skin removed.
Middle Layer - 2 warm cheese things about 2 inches square - Not nice. Cream and jam and 4 over cooked and hard on the outside small scones. Not very High Tea. (The utensils we were given were a cake form and spoon, so spreading jam and cream was not very neat
Top layer - Chocolate Brownie (not very delicate to eat with your fingers as you ended up with chocolate all over your fingers. A pastry with lemon curd in it - bit too bitter and I ended p scooping out the filling and eating the pastry. Strawberry dipped in chocolate - too big and not sweet Strawberry coulis in little glass (spoon supplied didn't fit in glass).
We were offered another glass of champers, but by this stage we wanted to leave as it was NOT the lovely afternoon we had expected.
We arrived at 2pm and had to force ourselves to stay till 2.40pm jjst to be polite)
NEVER AGAIN
(The sad things is that a friend had gone last month and loved it and thought that this was a typical High Tea. She really does not know what she is missing. her are so many great High Tea places around - this is not one of them)

Approximate cost: $32x2
