Our most recent visit to Sammy's was a massive disappointment. The food was below average especially considering the price and three out of four of us felt quite ill the next day. My calamari tasted of old fish and the serves were smaller than you would expect. We were a massive inconvenience to the waitress who was sort of serving us (when we could get her attention) and at one stage we saw her drop a straw on the floor right in front of the table and then pop it back into the glass and serve it to the unsuspecting customer! She wasn't even subtle about it. The decor is also starting to look a bit tired although the view is still as amazing as always....not really anything to do with the restaurant though.

This is a gorgeous cellar door with fabulous wines. The staff are always friendly and welcoming when we visit and we are particularly in love with their sparkling pinot - yum! Make sure you check out their function room if you can when you visit as it is a lovely atmospheric and versatile space complete with racks of wine barrels and a lovely ambience.

The food was quite reasonable for a fairly casual dining experience. The prices were a little high but there were 50% off vouchers readily available so I doubt most people would be paying full price. The service was a little average but it was their first weekend open so I'm sure they will improve. Overall it was a nice experience in a nice location but I probably wouldnt want to be paying the full menu price for a lot of the food items.

A friendly and knowleadgable lady showed us through the Lake Breeze wine list which is very impressive. Their wines are priced very reasonably given their quality and we were warmly welcomed at the gorgeous little cellar door. This place is well worth the visit and we will be visiting again soon when we get the chance.

The menu and food served was definately everything you would expect and more from this restaurant. They had a great range of local produce on the menu and the presentation and taste was fantastic. The service on the other hand was a little lacklustre for the standard of restaurant that they advertise and we had to wait a long time for even our relatively simple starter and even longer for our bottle of wine.
The venue itself although in a stunning setting is looking a little tired and is in fairly desperate need of refitting - you can tell it is used frequently as a function venue and there are scuffs and scratches all over the walls and ceiling. It was a good experience overall but lacked a bit of wow factor in service and decor.

They have an incredible amount of different wines and ports to try at this cellar door. It is the oldest winery in the region and the history of this place is amazing. The lady that helped us was full of stories and information and is obviously very passionate about wine. The cellar door is full of history and photographs and you could certainly spend some time here. Make sure that you ask to taste the powder monkey Shiraz which is kept under the bar:)

This is a great cellar door to visit. They only had a few wines to taste when we visited as most of the staff were at their Christmas lunch, however the ones we had were great. They have a fantastic range of local produce available too and it's great to see local businesses support each other. Even though the staff there on the day were only 'babysitting' and didn't normally work at the winery, they were still able to give us lots of information and obviously love the wines themselves. Next time we visit we hope to try some of their highly recommended food.

This review is for Blackwood Clinic, Blackwood SA

I have been visiting this clinic for years. I mostly see one doctor, however on occassion have had to see others and have found they are all compassionate, proactive and professional. This is a clinic where you truly feel you are getting the best care and even though I have moved out of the area, I will continue to use these doctors. I often see my doctor for just a very quick appointment to refill my prescription and he normally bulk bills for this few minutes instead of charging me the gap, which I think is very nice.

I could vaguely understand the way this clinic ran when they used to bulk bill - although it was still awful! I thought when they stopped bulk billing that their practices might improve but they haven't. I am a working professional and do not have time to sit around for who knows how long to wait for a doctor that looks down their nose at you and rushes you out as quickly as possible. I cannot understand why they can't have an appointment schedule! It is a terrible system, forcing most people to see multiple different doctors rather than waste half a day or more waiting for one particular doctor. This cannot be good for continuity of care! I would choose to stay at home and not see a doctor if this was the only choice. The desk staff are some of the rudest people I've met in my life and treat everybody like second class citizens. Massive thumbs down for this clinic.

We were told to visit this winery by a local and it was certainly worth the drive to find it. It seems like you are a long way from anywhere, however it is really only 20 minutes from Devonport! You have a fantastic view back across the valley all the way to the coast and the cellar door is full of interesting local photography. We had a dip platter here which was very nice and enjoyed the wines that we sampled. The gentleman that helped us was incredibly friendly and pointed out a couple of extra things we should do on our drive to Devonport. It was a great experience!
