I have to agree, as far as dentists go, lol, this is a good one..
I also like the way he takes photos to actually show you what is wrong before doing anything..
Comparatively he is not actually expensive, on the lower end of the dentist price range yet he still takes his time and you don't feel rushed or like he isn't keeping you fully informed of your options..
I have been in to buy items I knew they had in stock, like new planes, and no problem, just grab the item off the shelf myself and pay for it.. But a number of times I have seen angry customers fighting with the staff, resulting in both sides swearing and threatening each other, I wondered how that could happen, well I found out when I didn't just buy something off the shelf and asked for help..
I went in with my 3 year old son to get a ball bearing for an rc car, I didn't have the model number of the ball bearing, but I did have the exact measurements. A product number is worthless as I don't need one brand just that size of a pretty standard/common item..
So anyway the attendant when asked for a 9x3mm bearing with 5mm hole said "Why can't you be the first F@$! customer to come in with the F@$! model number of what you want so I don't have to F@$! look it up for you..." In a very aggressive manner and went on complaining about the F@$! customers to me.. So now I understand the aggression I have seen before in the store, I didn't get in to that, I avoided fanning the flames and took my son and left asap... I won't be going back again..
In regards to the bearing I went to another hobby shop in Boronia who helped me without issue and was surprised anyone would want a model number for a bearing let alone the aggression. I spent a few hundred on other stuff while I was there, sadly for Hobbyman they lost out there almost immediately as the bearing was not all I was after but I wouldn't stay with that attitude..
Andrew has fixed a few problems for us with our new house.. We will use him again whenever we need plumbing work, very punctual and well priced...
We get a lot of leaf litter on our roof and my partner called leaf buster...
They tried a hard sell saying 20% off today only, if you get them out again and don't accept the quote and sign on the spot the discount won't be there later.. Total hard sell rubbish, I told them to go jump and they offered my partner another 10-15% off and she said OK..
So anyway the guy was on the roof who quoted and recommended valleys be done as part of the job, fine.... So today they turned up to do the job, the guys wouldn't do the valleys as they are rusted, loose and pointing is crumbling (fair enough), so we only got the job partly done.
Nice of the inspector who quoted to have not told us about that so we could get it fixed FIRST.. So now we would need to get them back as a separate job to do the valleys after they are fixed... Who knows how much they would want to charge this time around?
Not happy with the service considering the huge prices they charged, you should be able to expect top service for what they charge...
Don't like the hard sell games either, I was prepared not to do business with them simply due to that behavior..
Approximate cost: $4000
I think like all practices it depends which doctor you get, some are really great, others not so much.. Find one you like and stick with them..
A little on the pricey side, but that seems to be the trend with most GPs these days, I use external pathology , not their one as it is cheaper..
Talked us out of some unnecessary work LOL.. Funny to see a tradesman talk us out of spending money with them...
But also sorted out quickly, and relatively cheaply, some other issues we were having with drainage..
Approximate cost: $175
6 light installations and one removal.. Some were a bit dificult to access (wall installs) also add earth to them all as previous lights not earthed..
Had another job done that I was less happy with, 3in1 fitting not level (flush with ceiling one end but not the other), just not clean install, and where they fitted switches in garage they left half dozen holes (trying to find something) in the ceiling, bit of a mess..
Approximate cost: $1177
He turned up and took the rubbish, was friendly and reasonably priced so have to give 5 stars..
Will use again..
I had a new ducted reverse cycle air conditioning system supplied and installed by Michael and his team...
What can I say, they were friendly, turned up on time, got the job finished on time and cleaned up very well after themselves, very strange for a tradie LOL..
Approximate cost: $10000
I have used them twice now, once for trimming/balancing and the other time more recently to completely remove a large elm.. The price was fair, they did the job well and cleaned up after themselves, hence 5 stars..
