My second experience with this company is disappointing me, I had problems last year and was told the reason was them getting used to a new computer system, and was compensated handsomely hence I didn't give bad feedback, but I now think that it is how they usually are??

We needed a relatively expensive tap that they had but were in the middle of getting the kitchen done so we called them to ask about availability and turnaround before ordering. They confirmed after a long wait that it was in stock and if we ordered it would be sent out the next day, so we ordered..

A full two weeks later nothing, we call them and ask what is happening, told "ohh umm that order is scheduled to go out today", that was last week it is now Thursday the following week and still no tap????

They just seem so disorganised to me, it is fantastic that if you push them, at least in my last case, they compensated us but how do you successfully run a business like this?

They are a fine company if nothing goes wrong, goods are shipped quickly and for a few purchases I was happy with them, but then I had a warranty claim on a faulty product.

Now this is where the problem starts, they have no phone number or email, just a web form. They then ignore you, this went on for a while eventually I got in contact and they first tried to make out I should contact the manufacturer in America but that is not how warranty law works in Australia. So then they tell me to ship it back, I did, they said it would take a while to send it back to the US. I waited two months and now they are pretending they never received it..

Checking other review sites they are well known for avoiding warranty issues.. Avoid this company, there are much better ones around..

I leave reviews here to give honest feedback to help others not to get rewards (never claimed mine) but it seems to be getting harder and harder to be honest..

I was annoyed in the past that new members can't leave negative reviews and it is much easier to put in a happy review than to give honest negative feedback, especially for new members.

Now it seems this is extending to long time members too. I left a 5 star review for an electrician after a few jobs and then he had a really bad day I guess and did some work I believe to be substandard (other tradesman I have had look at it since agreed). So I changed my review down to 4 stars and mentioned in my review what I didn't like. He had paid WOMO for their happy customer program, but instead of following their advice (per website) and contacting me to explain or rectify the problem from his perspective, he left some nasty feedback for me and then reported my review as containing rude or incorrect information.

After he did that my review was hidden from the public, I contacted WOMO on three occasions over the following weeks but they ignored me altogether. Now well over a month later they have retracted my review without bothering to contact me back and explain why a non-rude review that sticks to the facts is removed without even so much as replying to my emails or explaining why it isn't allowed to give honest feedback for a paying WOMO business....

Sorry to have to leave this review but this is getting ridiculous, surely businesses don't get protected once they pay WOMO to join the Happy Customer program? Sadly from my perspective that is the only way I can understand what happened here... I will no longer be using this site as despite whether it may be a successful business model for WOMO the fact that honest negative feedback is either hard to leave or is removed makes the site useless for users and defeats the purpose of the site.. Unless of course the purpose is to draw more business from unsuspecting customers for businesses that pay for the Happy customer program and earn money with fluff reviews for users, though that differs from the stated aim on the site.

You can delete this review too I guess.. :-/

Telstra is a funny company, they have teh best infrastructure in general, especially for mobile but they are too big I think and their service can be very poor..

Mobile Phone: I get far better mobile coverage with Telstra than Optus or Vodafone..

Mobile Broadband: Horrible experience, I tried activating the prepaid broadband account I got and it took 3 days just to activate. First their system was down for 1.5 days and then when it went back up it was a 48 hour delay to activate the account.. Pretty hopeless for a prepaid service they claim you will be able to use right away.

Wired Broadband: I am stuffed with this, ADSL is terrible in my area due to Telstra's poor copper netwrok that they won't spend money on upgrading. Telstra cable runs past our court but they won't run the cable 25m to my house because apparently they don't run more cables as the NBN is coming. My area however is not in the rollout plan for the next 3-5 years so why not get a customer for 3-5 years, especially as I was willing to pay a much higher upfront fee to compensate them for the cable length, but no, won't even talk about it..

I wish all tradespeople were like this..

John is a very easy going guy, he did quality work for a very rasonable price, also came out when he said he would..

Not much else to say, we have used him a few times now for smallish jobs around the house and will continue to use his services in the future..

In my experience a decent LFS (local fish shop) is a rare thing, and Subscape is more than decent.. Good range of fish and plants, good prices on fish, and more impressively knowledgeable advice ;-)

I ordered a 240gb SSD drive off their online store that was listed as in-stock (not low stock) for a very good price. An hour later it was pulled from their site.. The next day they contacted me saying as below..

"Unfortunately this product sold out very fast as we only had a couple of units left, it is now listed as End Of Life by our supplier. As this is the case we are no longer able to obtain more stock. Please notify me if there is an alternative listed on the website or if you would prefer a refund."

Now I checked the manufacturers site and it is a current model, I then called up one of the Centre Com stores just saying I was interested in getting one. I was told that particular store didn't have any but they can order it in with 3-4 days.. I explained I was told it was end of life and they just laughed and said that definitely is not the case and they would have no problem getting it in.. I explained what had happened with their own online store, he then just explained they are saying that as they sold it to me too cheap (wrong price on the website) and they would put it back up on the site within a week or so...

I was a bit surprised at that, I emailed the online division again explaining what the store had told me and that they should be able to supply the product to me and why did they mislead me, they simply sent me a response saying that the sale would be refunded at the customers request..

I am not happy with this, if they made a mistake with the price they should have just told me and offered a refund, because I feel what they did was get my money with a mistaken price they could not honour and then asked me to choose something else (or wait for a refund)..

I am a bit torn on this shop.. They have a great deal to price match (and beat by 10%) any advertised price lower than theirs.. Very good deal and when wanting an expensive filter for my new aquarium I took them up on the offer and they did beat the other price..

What I didn't like was that nothing on their site is actually marked as 'out of stock' if they don't have it, so you can order items and then have to wait for them to order it in and receive it before they will then ship it on to you. I don't mind waiting for a back-order if need be but it is nice to know upfront, even if they emailed you after the order to let you know why it was going to be delayed (if they can't inform you through the online store)

EDIT: Have to update this, they have been making an effort lately it seems to keep their site up to date (with out of stock notices) add that to their great prices and I have to give them 5 stars overall.. Keep it up guys..

My tiler recommended we go there for our tiles and he seemed to be right.. They have a good range, were friendly, not expensive for what you get and delivered the tiles on time..

About to go back and buy more tiles from them for our other bathroom..

I have always had luck with deals direct, decent quality items (mainly rugs and manchester) and they are shipped out quickly..

EDIT: Well hit my first speed bump, I bought a duvet that was listed as feather/down 15%/85% but turned out it was the other way around. They refunded me and I put a review on their site to clarrify the item is not as listed, I then saw that others had just done the same thing..

Mistakes happen and that is fine and acceptable as they did authorise a return, my discontent stems from the fact they have not fixed the incorrect listing, despite multiple customers complaining, so others will continue to be mislead.
