The Shamrock does some massive meals at more than reasonable prices. Is a dive bar situation but has a good vibe. Definetly a place to go for cold beer and when hungry.
The kirwan tavern is a great choice to watch sport and always has all the UFC fights televised. It also has a pokies room and pub tab. The restaurant serves decent pub grub and cold beer
Irish finegans serves pretty standard pub grub and has some good daily specials. A great place with beer garden if you live that side of town and dint want to go to the nightclubs in the city centre.
Best steak in Townsville by a country like.. and best prices to. Every time I go in I can't believe the value I get here. At other steak houses I would expect to pay 15 to 30 dollars more per steak then what I get charged here. Please note these guys only do dinner service though.
One of the few hotels to still do a vegetable buffet value for money and quality of food are excellent. There are a few older style police machines out the back but this pub is made for old fashioned socializing
I must say my last meal at the Dalrymple was superb. A l9vely piece of steak with beautiful gravy and chips and salad. Zero complaints and a very fair price. I will be back again soon
The oonoonba hotel still offers solid pub grub at more than reasonable prices. The hotel has a restaurant and front bar and also pokies lounge. Service is always friendly.
The seaview still and probably always will be one of the best watering holes in Townsville. Nothing better then beers near the beach. The food is good and specials are priced well but the other mains are on the expensive side
Tom's has a restaurant which offers regular upper class pub grub. The front bar is often frequented by tradies and also features a pub tab. Service is fair but can be a little slow at busy times
The hotel Allen offers great pub grub with good sizes and good prices. The daily specials are always good value. The building itself is an older style but is still nice and close to the beach.
