This review is for Redbelly Removals, Gorokan NSW

Redbelly is a small removal company. They moved us from the Central Coast to Outback NSW and did a fantastic job. From when they first quoted to the delivery of our furniture they were very professional and very quick loading and unloading (they still took great care of our furniture - we had no breakages or damage). They kept me informed of their progress enroute and let me know when they were held up overnight waiting for a service station to open.

Redbelly can move one item of furniture or a small house full. They do only have a small truck so may not be able to move larger loads, but they did check with me on the size of our load before confirming our booking. They weren't the cheapest quote I received but their price wasn't overly inflated either, I was very happy with the price. Hopefully I won't be moving again any time soon but I will be contacting Redbelly if I do.

The mechanics are fantastic but the service manager and service admin are extremely rude and abrupt. I have purchased 3 cars from Booth's now but due to the customer service of these Service personel I am very unlikely to purchase from them again. Every time I have contacted Booth's Service Centre Tuggerah in the past 2 years I have been treated like an idiot, ignored, snarled at, spoken to in a condescending way and made to feel lioke my business doesn't matter. I have heard the service manager and service admin speak to every other customer there whilst I was there in exactly the same way. Very very poor customer service.

A great little nursery that has been in the same location for many many years. They sell lots of varieties of Gardenia (my favourite) as well as plenty of other outdoor and indoor shrubs, trees and plants (including fruit and veg). I've purchased many pots and plants there and the quality of the plants are wonderful. Last time I was there I purchased some potted colour (only $10 for 3) which are looking fantastic. Water tanks are also available from the nursery.

I live in Wyong shire but travel down to Narara nursery because I know the quality of the plants are top notch and I'll more than likely find what I'm looking for.

The best pumpkin, sweet potato and potato scallops (some are very large size too). The battered fish isn't coated in a thick layer as some other shops do, you get much more fish for your money and it's not too greasy. The staff (owner operated) are lovely, very friendly. There are tables and chairs inside if you wish to eat in or you can take away.

Approximate cost: $10

I am claustrophobic so was less than keen to go on a tour of the mine. I am so glad I decided to go. The surface tour was extremely interesting and I learnt so much. The tour within the mine was fantastic. You won't find "pretty" stalagmites but you will see many relics and you'll be able to ubderstand some if the hardships faced by the miners. The mine didn't feel cramped and although some sections were steep, hand rails are there to help. The staff were very friendly and answered every single question that others on the tour threw at them.

Note: Make sure you check the website for tour times. You can book at the Broken Hills Visitor Centre or turn up just before a tour. Also make sure to wear sturdy, enclosed shoes.

Approximate cost: $12 adults

This review is for Geelong Riverview Tourist Park, Geelong VIC

A nice enough tourist park. Lots of cabins (some fairly new) and some powered/unpowered sites. The sites are a little cramped and the park is extremely busy so get in early or book if you plan to stay.

The camp kitchen is large and clean, 2 ovens and sinks a few fridges and a number of tables and chairs (cooking utensils and pots/pans are also available in the camp kitchen for all to use).

The facilities/amenities were relatively clean and had everything needed.

Approximate cost: $30 and up

A nice clean park that had lots of different types of accommodation. We took a powered site for 1 night and found it to be roomy, grassed and level which is important for us since we have a camper trailer. The facilities were clean and quite roomy.

During our visit there was free wireless internet available for those staying at the park, we took advantage of that. Apart from some issues with the ISP company not activating the cards (the park's staff was fantastic in sorting this out) the Internet finally gave us the opportunity to update friends on our travels. The park does have wirleess Internet at all times but there is usually a small fee involved.

This review is for Birdsville Bakery, Birdsville QLD

In Birdsville recently we decided to check out the local bakery which many other travelers told us about. The bakery specialises in unusual pies. I personally was unsure of trying rabbit, camel or emu so stuck with a more traditional beef pie, it was great. The pie was very meaty and the pastry was flaky and had a lovely flavour which complemented the pie. My other half had curried camel. I had a bite of the camel pie, very unusual but I'm so glad I can cross eating camel off my bucket list. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his pie and we decided to grab another couple of pies takeaway for later.

The bakery sells other bakery items and also has a small menu of sit down meals, the staff also make a very nice cup of coffee.

There is a lot of art work on the walls of the bakery for sale and display which we enjoyed looking at while waiting for our coffee.

Note: it can get very busy in the bakery (it is the only one for miles after all)

Wonderful pasties, pies (they claim to have the best in the outback, even though they're good I'm not sure they are the best), fresh bread, cakes and slices. Probably the best apple turnover I've ever eaten. We had cappuccino when we were last there, it was pretty good. The service can get a little slow but the staff are friendly and are keen to help everyone who comes in.

A few chairs and tables outside so you can relax and watch the world go by. They do takeaway as well.

Very clean inside and out on the 2 occasions we've been there. I can't wait to go back and get another apple turnover.

This review is for Baringa Automotive Services, Wyong NSW

Recently my car was due for a scheduled service and I didn't want to take it to the manufacturer. My partner had used Baringa in the past and suggested I try them. I was extremely pleased with the service. They checked the air filter and found it was next to new so didn't replace it (other mechanics or service centres I have used in the past replace these type of items regardless....at extra cost to me). My car was ready when I was told it would be. The team did a great job and the other staff are wonderful. Everything was explained to me in terms I could understand. I will definitely go back to Baringa for my car's next service.
