We have used FlyBuys for years, and as long as you're ok with an organisation watching everything you buy then this is the company for you. We've redeemed a lot of $10 FlyBuys dollars credits over the years, and it really does help out on our voluntarily tight budget. The trick is to not buy things purely because they come with bonus points. Doing that will make you over spend and that's how the system appears to me to be structured. Make the best use of the bonus points available on things you actually need. Try to buy in bulk when this happens. Give a card to another family member so they can all accrue points on the one account. It all adds up pretty quickly. I have requested customer assistance recently and was promised an investigator would call me back, didn't hear a thing. Customer service score = low.

I tried this place last weekend and ordered one of their curry burritos. They have an option of traditional style curries, many, many choices on hand. Or you can do what i did and grab a wrap with curry in it. First time i've had an Indian burrito so to speak and it was ok. The location is good, opposite KFC in the food court on level 1. There is seating there too so you don't have to go far to start your meal. The wait time to heat up the pre-made wrap was a little longer than i expected, and to be honest no one even mentioned to us that there would be a wait time at all, they just walked off out the back. Either way the food tasted nice, the price was rather high, but the selection was good.

This review is for Moochi, Wantirna South VIC

We tried this frozen yoghurt bar a few days ago after growing tired of the over sweetened thickshakes available on every corner. Moochi is a frozen yoghurt bar and has a somewhat limited but healthier lineup of choices. We both went for a banana smoothy which was very nice. The price isn't cheap, and the 'small' we ordered is definitely smaller than say a Wendy's small smoothy, but the taste was there. You could tell it was good, in more ways than one. I believe this is the first Moochi store in Victoria at the date of writing this review. They're worth a try if you're looking for a treat that is 'lighter' than other options.

This review is for Yang's Hot Works Noodles & Dumplings, Bayswater VIC

We finally tried this restaurant last night after my sister has been raving about it for as long as i can remember. It's located in a strip of shops not far up from the station, and parking can be tricky and chaotic. Worth it though. Unfortunately our order was incorrectly delivered, we ordered two different types of dumplings, but received two of the same type. As a bonus though, they also gave us two hot and sour soups, by mistake i guess, not sure. We were home at the table when we realised. All this is forgiven because this is hands down the best Asian food i have ever eaten. The fried rice is fresh, light and delicious. The chicken and corn soup is the best i've ever had with just the right consistency. The savoury pancake we tried was very unusual, with quite an aroma of cinnamon or similar, but tastes savoury and beautiful. The dumplings were fantastic. They were steamed and tended to fall out of their casing a bit but they were great. With a dash of soy, they were delightful. The prices are cheap! The chicken and corn soup was only $5. The free soups were even better, the hot soup was almost the best thing i've ever eaten. Try this place for sure!

We ironically stepped into this restaurant after the place next door was shut, after we drove 20 minutes to try it for the first time. This was a good thing. We walked in, and it was packed on a Tuesday evening, which speaks volumes. We waited a few minutes before being able to order as they were flat out with eat in and takeaway orders. We ordered some takeaway and got Pad Thai which was FANTASTIC! And a soup based on chicken broth which i forget the name of. The taste was absolutely brilliant, with both dishes having that iconic aromatic flavour somewhat unique to Thai cuisine. The restaurant is narrow but very long, and the prices are about what you'd expect. Not cheap, not terrible. This place is well worth a try, great food. Every dish we saw being waited out to a table while we were waiting for our takeaway was making our mouths water. Must visit.

I know it's a big chain and some of you may think they're all the same but they definitely are not. I wanted to give special mention to this particular outlet because the Lady & Gent who run it do a very good job. They're friendly, personable and look like they care. The products they produce there are fantastic. I usually get a banana smoothie made with yoghurt and they don't charge extra for malt and honey. The one i had last week was the best smoothie i think i've ever had. Give them a try, they're different from the rest.

This review is for IKEA, Springvale VIC

We have bought many things from here in the past few months. Four wardrobes at a bargain price, a bag full of those sticky roller things for removing lint, kitchen utensils and so on. They're in a convenient but busy location, but there is TONNES of stuff to look through. The staff are decent but the layout is somewhat confusing. It's basically a giant maze, but seems to work. Parking is ample via the multilevel carpark and there's a big IKEA cafe, andi mean big, serving lots of hot food and snacks. Great store.

This review is for TGI Friday's, Forest Hill VIC

As a LONG time patron of every TGI Friday's in this state, my partner and i were excited to learn a new one was being built not far from us, Forest Hill. This was a while back now. We eagerly tried it out and have been there at least 10 times now. Here's the problem. As per the usual TGI's menu, the food is delicious Americana style comfort food, and to be honest most of the time it's cooked well. The problem here is the service. I don't recall dining here once in those 10+ visits where something hasn't been stuffed up. Sometimes you have to wait an epic amount of time for drink refills also. The price is high for the food you receive, but that's always been the case. It's still great food, the only bitter taste tends to be the service.

I took the Mrs in here as she was complaining about her bag being old and boring so it was time to shell out again. This place was inviting with lots of different coloured things that women seem to love. A green bag was spotted, and my one and only modelled it and asked for my opinion. Just as i said it was good the owner came and offered a discount for us. To be honest the price was pretty good already. He was friendly, the store layout was good, and there's a big selection of bags there. Drop in and see for yourself.

This review is for Yummo Ice Cream & Lolly Shop, Mornington VIC

On a day trip to the coastal town we decided to grab a milk shake. We happened upon this ice creamery and went in. Initially i was put off as the prices aren't what you'd call cheap, but i relented and got too small caramel thickshakes. Boy i'm glad we did because they were quite possibly the best thickshakes we've ever had. The shop is small, but there's a good selection of ice cream and lollies, and as i said the drink was fantastic. Give them a try.
