The pho is always great here. The staff are very accommodating of big groups of people. Not the cleanest place but the staff are much friendlier than what you'd get at, say, Box Hill. The prices are fantastic - 10 bucks for a very big bowl of pho!

I met up with a friend there for some brunch (I went for breakfast and he went for lunch). I ordered a coffee and eggs benedict with buttered mushrooms on the side, and to be honest, the food left much, much, much to be desired.

First of all - the coffee. It was served in a huge glass that would normally be used for say, a frappe, so the result was a very weak latte because they've obviously just put one shot of coffee in and filled the rest of the glass with milk.

Second - the eggs benedict. The egg were not soft poached; they were hardly runny at all. The English muffin tasted like the ones you would get from a supermarket and the hollandaise sauce was very gluggy. In fact, it was so gluggy I could scoop up mounds of it with a fork.

Third - the mushrooms. You know those mushrooms you can get in a can? How the texture is rather different from fresh mushrooms? I strongly suspect what they did was crack open a can, tip it in a ramekin, put a slab of butter on it and pop it in the microwave.

Fourth - there was a hair in my food. Need I say more?

Fifth - the service. We asked for the bill at 1.30pm, and they didn't take it (even though quite a few waitresses had walked past and clearly saw the credit card poking out of the folder) until 2pm. I understand they were busy. But too busy to be paid? C'mon.

Had a latte and some cake there. The cake was quite good and the coffee decent. Service is excellent - the staff are a pleasure to deal with!

I was up in Canberra (National library) for a conference and dying for a coffee. I wasn't expecting much of the coffee and to be overcharged for it, but I was surprised! the coffee isn't very good - it's a bit too bitter and I think the barista slightly burnt it, but the price is much cheaper than I expected. Only $3.50!

At a little coffee nook in such a huge establishment, that's not too bad overall!

Dolce Espresson has been in Westfield for ages now, and the quality of their coffee has always been consistent. Smooth, fresh, fairly decent coffee considering it's a shopping centre cafe. I've never tried the food so I don't know about that, but the coffee I would recommend if you're picky like that. You won't be over the moon but you won't find much to complain about either.

Great place to hang out with friends during the day. Food is excellent and there are lots of it! The waitstaff are very nice and very understanding. They do get very swept off their feet though during busy times (re: weekend nights).

The only drawback is that if you're there during dinner, it gets very, very loud. The hall-like structure makes everything echo which is exacerbated by the loud music. So if you're going there with a hard-of-hearing person, it's not the best place to have a conversation in.

I usually meet up with friends who live/work around that area, and it's a great little place to meet up in. As the name suggests, they do a lot of pastry-type things so make sure you try them out! The pies are great and so are the sweets. The coffee is ok - nothing to call home about, but the service is good and they never try to rush you out despite the place being teeny-tiny.

Great coffee, great service. What more could you ask for? It's a little bit hard to find if you don't know where it is, but once you get there, you'd be glad you found it! The coffees are smooth and the wait staff are so friendly and helpful. I've seen mum with bubs going there and they've always been well served. I usually go to cafes to work on my laptop and these guys were fine with it, unlike some other cafes.

The decor is really warm too, if you need something more to persuade you!

Great food, dirt cheap prices, fantastic service. This tiny place has everything you'd want from a ramen restaurant. We like to go there on cold and rainy nights which means we're there very often during winter! I always go for the ramen - the noodles are nice and chewy and the soup base is always spot-on. Comfort food all around.

If you catch these guys at a quiet period of the day with not many customers, the service is fantastic. Otherwise, the prices are nothing spectacular and it's all stuff you'd normally find at every other pharmacy.
