This review is for Rocketfuel Coffee & Juice, Nedlands WA

Rocketfuel used to be a frequent coffee joint of mine as it is with many UWA students. My personal favourite is the ice chocolate - it's not like the typical ice chocolates out there, it's icey with a great chocolate hit and perfect especially when the weather's hot. The banana breads, muffins and cookies also complement their drinks perfectly. Rocketfuel gets brownie points for having a drive-through as well, makes it extra convenient to grab a coffee on the run.

I came here for a girlfriend's bridal shower and the 16 of us had a nice room to ourselves for high tea, spread over two tables. There was an excellent selection of teas, from classic teas to more unusual yet delicate selections. The table setting was lovely and perfect for the occasion. Food was served promptly and the variety was great. Loved all the courses that were served - sandwiches had interesting and delicious fillings, scones were the highlight. The only downside was it took us a while to get our teas refilled as the staff were not too attentive - this could have been due to them being busy that day. The location was also a little hard to find as it's not on the main strip of Vic Park, but it was good to be away from the hustle and bustle.

This was a lovely high tea experience and I am looking forward to coming back to spoil myself when the occasion arises :)

Approximate cost: $39

I've been to Sherbet Cafe & Bake Shop twice now and love the place to bits. This is any dessert lover's paradise - it is quite impossible to resist all the beautiful sweet treats on display! The savoury food is also mouthwateringly delicious, I especially like the roast vegetable tart. Sherbet has a characteristic look, it features decor that is is cute and whimsical. It's always buzzing with people but it's worth hanging around waiting for a table to free up so you can enjoy your food while soaking up the lovely atmosphere. It's my perfect place to come for a nice catch up with some girlfriends. A trip to Sherbet is always bound to make my day!

The Tenth State is an amazing little store - it's a coffee joint within a funky concept store. The coffee is amazing and great value at $4 for a large cup. My favourite is the mocha which comes with marshmallows and a mini oreo. The pretty cakes on display are always difficult to resist! The staff are great and really friendly - they always have a smile on their face which always makes it a joy getting coffee from them. They can be busy at times (popular with UWA students and working people nearby) but waiting is never a chore when there's plenty of whimsical things to browse around in the shop! It's hard not to fall in love with this place :)

This review is for Kai Japanese Dinning, Bull Creek WA

Kai Japanese Dining is my family's favourite Japanese restaurant. The menu has good variety and the food is consistently delicious and of high quality. Serving portions are also good. The karaage chicken is fantastic, as is the teriyaki beef steak and tonkutsu. The green tea is also a must try - don't let the fluorescent green colour scare you off, it's one of the best around! It is a popular but tiny restaurant, best to go early around 5.30pm if you want to dine in without waiting ages for a table. Alternatively takeaway is an option.

Definitely give this place a shot if you are around the area and want delicious Japanese food at great value - I'm sure you'll be back for more!

One of my favourite places to hang out and catch up with friends :) the food is excellent, I've had their rustic breakfast as well as tangy avocado & bacon sandwich and it always leaves me satisfied. Coffee is fantastic though I would not recommend their chai latte. The staff pay attention to details and are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're around the area!

This review is for Kanta, Langford WA

Been to Kanta on two different occasions, once for lunch and another time for dinner. The restaurant is quite popular and it's difficult to get a seat if you do not have a reservation, unless you are okay with waiting. Food is delicious and fairly good value for money (unfortunately, there is a $20 minimum order per person if you are having a dine-in dinner). We tried the beef tataki, spiced pork belly, duck (kamo) steak, beef tongue steak, chicken katsu-don, claypot hot & spicy noodles, and some sushi. Everything was cooked well, flavourful and scrumptious - we finished everything on our plates. Sushi was fresh and well-prepared.

This is a good place to eat yummy Japanese food. Making reservations in advance is advised and consider buying takeaway if you're not willing to pay at least $20 per person for dinner.

Love this little cafe :) I came here with a friend for a catch up and we shared the french toast and baked eggs among us. The servings were just the right size and it was great value for great quality. The menu features a lovely brunch menu, with a good variety of rolls and baked goods in the fridge. The counter also features an irresistible selection of sweets that is bound to tempt anyone. I had a chai latte which was done perfectly, and friends have commented on the amazing coffees. The staff are really friendly and get along well with their customers :)

Definitely recommend Santi's for anyone after some great brunch and coffee :) it's my new favourite cafe that's just as great as places like the Tuckshop minus the big crowds and big prices. Popular among UWA students and hospital/office people around Nedlands.

LOVE everything about Moore & Moore! The food is delicious and is the perfect weekend brunch meal. Pair that with an artsy interior with all its interesting decorations and fittings and you're all set for a great dining experience. It has an unassuming exterior but walk inside and be prepared for a nice little surprise. It is the ideal place to spend the morning catching up with friends over yummy food and a touch of quirkiness. Will definitely be back!

This is a great place to hang out with friends, whether you want to just chill or have some fun and laughs while karaoke-ing. The bubble tea is consistently well-made and there are lots of variety to choose from. My favourites include honeydew milk tea w honeydew pudding & winter love milk tea. The pastries, bread and cakes never fail to make me drool and it takes an immense amount of self control not to get any of them. It opens late certain nights which is convenient for hanging out when everything else is closed.
