Fantastic service

Brett came to check a problem with my ancient washing machine. He arrived on time and was extremely helpful and professional - even followed up with a phone call a few days later. Highly recommended.

At around 6pm today I received a "Little Market Bunch small" from this company. It was sent by my vet to honor a recently deceased pet. The bunch consisted of 6 different types of flowers and some leaves. Two of the six flowers were turning brown/dying and some leaves were wilting. Another flower in the bunch, a lily, is known for killing cats. The card read, in part, "memories of their life with you will always bring smiles to you faces". Seriously guys, you need to lift your game. Proof read messages and don't send half-dead flowers to commemorate a dead pet.

Alarm system was being triggered (siren and flashing light) every 15 minutes. Rang company and was given the number of a serviceman. Rang number and left message. Rang company back 1 hour later as no return call. Was told serviceman was on holidays (this occurred between Xmas and NYE). Was given another number for another serviceman. He advised over the phone to unplug alarm, and came out next day for a service call. He advised alarm was tripping due to a flat battery in the main panel box. He replaced battery, tested the system, then replaced a sensor. He tested the system again and declared it repaired. Got the bill, paid it, and 5 weeks later the same problem returned. Rang the company and explained what was going on. Was told it was probably a wiring problem. Explained that the whole system was tested in December, and the wiring was inspected (unlined shed so wiring is visible). Advised them that error light indicated a panel fault. The company rep then stated that it was probably a panel or wiring fault, and this was not covered under warranty as the warranty only applied to the battery and sensor (apparently does not apply to the call out and testing of the system). I then asked how to permanently disarm the system as it is unfair to neighbours to have false alarms every 15 minutes. Was told how to disarm system. Was not offered a partial refund or any further assistance. Waste of money as they do not seem to guarantee their work, nor do they seem to care about customer service.

I have been using Jamison Plumbing for many years, and have recommended them to both my employer and my mother. Prompt, reliable, trustworthy, courteous, and really knows his stuff. Most recently, when my central heating broke down, I contacted the manufacturer as the heater was still under warranty. Two different service calls and 10 days later and all I had was an estimate for over $800 and a heater that was still not working. I called Terry from Jamison and he arrived within a couple of hours of my call, fixed the heating within minutes, and did this with a minimum of fuss and at a more than reasonable price. Highly recommended.

My pensioner aunt hired this company for some roofing and guttering repairs at her home. The owner of the business, Terry, was initially very friendly and communicative. The business sent two young men to carry out the work unsupervised.
Despite the contractor advising the roof was unstable due to rotten timber, the workers were on the roof without a harness, catch platforms or guard rails (a breach of the OH&S Regulations). Thankfully, no one fell.
The guttering replacement has resulted in a massive leak - water cascading over and through gaps in the joints causing a slippery patch on the path below and eventual damage to the fascia .
Despite over 20 calls to the business landline (messages left), the mobile (no response so far), and numerous emails, there has been no reply. Guess the next steps are to lodge the details with Building Advice & Conciliation and Consumer Affairs.
The work was carried out without due care and skill and has created an unsafe situation at the home. Pathetic!

If you are a collector of vintage cycles, this is NOT the place to go. I had about 4 bikes serviced by this shop, then left a vintage Speedwell bike (that it had taken me 3 years to find)and another Speedwell to be used for spare parts. Was told by the owner that it could take some time to find all the parts required, especially the rims. Dropped in at the shop 3 times over a 13 month period. Left my phone number with the store on 2 of these visits. The store then moved to a new location and when I dropped in to check on the progress, I was told that both bikes were thrown out as they couldn't contact me and they didn't have room in the new store. Not happy. Poor service, undue delays, poor record keeping, and a complete disregard for customer's property. Avoid this store at all costs!
