The Gearin Hotel is a nice little drinking hole with a real local atmosphere. There's a fire place there too which is great in winter.

The Red Cow is a great pub that you would never think about going since it has a reputation for being a rough joint. The food is top notch and they have great lunch specials. Steak is great.

The Oaks Hotel is a great pub to catch up with mates. The food is quite good too. Love going here after a long day at work and catching up with my mates.

There are great park and water views at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, a lovely place to visit on a summers day. The food is great and decent servings. The hotel rooms are nice too.

The Bakehouse on Wentworth sells the best sausage rolls that I have eaten in Springwood. The coffee is pretty good too. Can't go past buying a fresh fruit loaf too.

The yum Cha at Phoenix Chinese Restaurant is really good, it is so convenient to have a decent place for yum Cha without going into the city.

The coffee at Three Ropes Espresso is simply amazing, I used to go there daily when I used to work in the area. The service is pretty good too and the person taking the orders remembers just about everyone's orders.

Thai Pothong is my favourite Thai restaurant in Newtown. Thai Pothong is quite a large restaurant and it gets so busy so it is best to book a table in advance. Great food and great atmosphere make Thai Pothong a top notch restaurant.

Paper Plane Cafe is perhaps one of the best cafes in Parramatta, they make really exceptional coffee and great food. I really like their burgers, they are awesome.

Pho Pasteur is simply amazing, the menu is the biggest menu that I've ever seen with the biggest selection of food to order. I really love the seafood and tofu soup and the pho. Great friendly service too.
