Watsons Bay is a stunning venue with an amazing fun, summery and easy-going vibe. My boyfriend and I visited for lunch on a Sunday. Be warned that it gets VERY busy when the weather is nice and parking can be a nightmare as many streets in the area are resident only parking.

When we arrived, our initial thought was that finding a table was going to be verrry difficult. We wanted to sit outside and you have to try and find a table yourself. We walked up to the top terrace part near the upstairs bar and a waiter was kind enough to show us to a table which had just been cleared.

We ordered the chilled seafood platter ($110) and the poached chicken salad ($25). The seafood platter was stunning to look at and equally as good to eat. Including super fresh prawns, oysters, bugs, octopus, crab and selection of sauces all on ice, I can't wait to come back for a summer seafood lunch! Unfortunately the salad was a disappointment, it was certainly delicious, using fresh quality ingredients, with a lovely balance of flavours, however it was mostly lettuce and pretty ridiculous at $25!

The venue is stunning and I'd highly recommend visiting on a summer's day however do expect it to be busy, parking to be difficult, and prices to be high! You'll forget all that after eating some delicious seafood however, the cocktail jugs look amazing too :)

Love it here.
The food is nice, location is great on a sunny day. Outdoor and indoor seating. Good place to go out for a couple drinks or even lunch with friends.
We've also been in winter, sat inside for dinner and it is very cosy.

There are great park and water views at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, a lovely place to visit on a summers day. The food is great and decent servings. The hotel rooms are nice too.

Have eaten here a number of ocassions both with locals and overseas visitors who, in particular, love the venue. The food can be consumed inside (order downstairs) or downstairs in the open area. Lovely fish, seafood & salad menu plus a full bar and very good coffee. A great venue on a sunny Sydney day.

Approximate cost: $20.00

Great review! Watson's Bay Hotel have undergone a lot of change over a few years and that kind of chilled / upbeat vibe is hard to come by in Sydney.

The view is fantastic, a great place to go on a summers day. The food is good and reasonably priced. They also have specials daily, on a thursday the fish and chips are $12 including a beer or wine.

Approximate cost: $15-$20

I give it 4 stars purely for location there is nothing better than sitting in the beer garden on a Sunday afternoon with a glass of wine overlooking the Harbour. Just beautiful. When it's busy the service can be a little slow and disorderly and the public bar is a bit seedy.
