This review is for After Hours Auto Air & Accessories, South Windsor NSW

Robert Lindsay from After Hours Auto Air & Accessories offers a mobile service that comes to you. He has worked on two of our cars in recent times. The first time was to diagnose and repair an air conditioning problem that we had already taken to another business, but who had failed to fix it! With that company, we found we had paid for an aircon service and re-gas, but they had failed to identify the source of the gas leak ... so we lost all the gas again, and were back to Square One!

Robert arrived at the appointed time, took the trouble to definitively analyse the issue, to explain the problem, what had caused it, and what needed to be done.

We have found this business offers very competitive prices with a very proficient tradesman who really knows what he's doing. It's an added bonus being able to have the tradesman come to you, instead of spending time waiting around at a repair shop.

We have used this company on two occasions to provide reverse-cycle inverter air conditioners: once in the main living area of our home and again when we built an extension. We have also used them to do routine servicing and cleaning of the air conditioners.

From the time of first phone contact through to final installation, I have found them to be a very professional company, and we felt very confident with the company's recommendations of product to us. The person giving the quotes came to our home and took the time to carefully analyse our requirements, and clearly outlined our options. On each occasion, we were given written quotes and recommendations on two options. When we were very clear on the recommendations, the quote-person left, allowing us to further analyse the quote and make a decision without pressure.

Their prices were very competitive, and their installation crews were on time, good-humoured, polite and cleaned up well after finishing the job.

We are very happy with their service and the products they recommended.

This review is for Richmond Veterinary Hospital, Richmond NSW

This veterinary practice have been our vets for decades. They provide a high quality service, and provide sound advice. They also stock a range of quality pet foods and worming products.

Richmond Vet Hospital also provides a boarding service for dogs and cats. Our dog stayed with them during our holidays for a number of years, and she was always very well cared for. It was a great reassurance to know that she was being cared for by people who would be able to quickly detect and respond to any health issues during our absence.

The vets and nurses are all very caring - they showed a lot of compassion and concern for our little dog when she was reaching the end of her long life (more than 16 years under their care!), and they did their utmost to maintain her quality of life.

This review is for Scandinavian Wardrobes, Pitt Town NSW

verified email - 11 Mar 2014

We had Scandinavian Wardrobes design and install built-in wardrobes and storage in our three bedrooms and living room.

We found their prices were lower than their competitors for a comparable product. The suggestions made by the business owner during the design process were extremely helpful, and he ensured that we ended up with a product that exactly met our needs.

The tradesmen arrived on time to do the installation, and the job was completed very quickly, competently and with minimal mess. They had to overcome some tricky situations, with our old house been "out of square" in every possible direction, but they were meticulous in ensuring that everything fitted perfectly.

We could not have been happier with the finished product, and it was great value for money.

Colin Laws is a Metal Fabricator and Welder with a wealth of experience and know-how.

He has done a few jobs for us, and the results have always been top-class and the prices have been extremely good value.

He is an honest and reliable tradesman, and he turns out a top-quality product.

This review is for Hire Force, North Richmond NSW

Hire Force has a large range of equipment for hire by the home handyman or tradespeople.

We have hired from them a number of times, and have found that their equipment is always well-maintained and their prices have been cheaper than their competitors.

The staff have been very helpful with providing advice on the right type of equipment, as well as some handy tips on equipment use.

This review is for Christopher Brown, Chiropracter And Osteopath, North Richmond NSW

verified email - 11 Mar 2014

Chris Brown has many decades of experience, and is currently working from consulting rooms adjoining his home. I was a little sceptical of chiropractors, but Chris was recommended to me by a friend who knew how much pain my son was suffering.

Chris has treated my young son for a chronic back condition, and I found he spent considerable time diagnosing the cause of the problem, examined my son's X-rays minutely, and asked a lot of questions to gain a thorough understanding of the history of the issue.

Under his care, my son has found that his back has improved steadily and significantly with each visit, and he has experienced an enormous reduction in pain and limitations.

Chris has a very caring and compassionate attitude, and a great manner with his patients. His hands produce magic!

This review is for Wheelchairs & Stuff, Mulgrave NSW

This business caters to people with a disability and the elderly who require assistance products. They supply wheelchairs, lift chairs, transfer aids, bathroom aids, ramp systems, protective bedding, pick-up reachers etc. They also have a rental service for all manner of equipment.

The shop is not large but they manage to stock a fair range of items. I have found that they are very happy to order in goods not routinely stocked, and can usually provide these items quickly.

The items they stock are high quality and prices are fair. I have found that the staff will go out of their way to assist you: they have provided me with great advice, and have gone to considerable lengths to provide the right product that will very satisfactorily resolve a particular issue.

This review is for Aids For Daily Living Pty Ltd, Alexandria NSW

verified email - 11 Mar 2014

This company has a showroom as well as an online store, and provides a large range of equipment and aids for seniors and those with disabilities: everything from wheelchairs to pickup reachers, from food prep aids to a range of easy-to-put-on clothing, plus lots of knick-knacks that help with daily life.

I have been buying from their online store for about five years: the goods I've bought have been as described, and the delivery has been fast.

I have not purchased any major pieces of equipment from them - mainly cheaper items that are helpful for daily living, like tap turners and dressing aids. Within this "knick-knack" end of their range, some of the items have been of a quality lower than expected; and their prices can be higher than expected, but I think that comment probably applies to many companies supplying goods specifically designed for this demographic.

Their advantage is that you can pretty well find anything that you need in their range, they stock some pretty nifty little gadgets, and the goods will be delivered in just a few days.

This review is for Trend Timbers, Mulgrave NSW

verified email - 11 Mar 2014

Trend Timbers has been in the Hawkesbury District for many decades, catering to anyone who is into woodworking; be they hobby woodworkers, furniture restorers, or school students undertaking Industrial Technology-Woodwork courses.

They supply a huge range of Australian and exotic timbers, a range of wood working machinery such as lathes and drills, wood working tools, finishes & glues, project parts such as clock & weather instrument mechanisms, books and DVDs.

But I think their greatest strength lies in the wealth of knowledge and advice that they are happy to share with their customers. Both my sons sourced all their high school Woodwork course materials from this company, and Trend Timbers' staff have spent many hours patiently helping them to choose the best type of timber for their various projects and the best type of finishes to enhance their projects. Their help and guidance was invaluable.

For someone who loves timber, walking into their store is like a chocaholic walking into Willy Wonka's chocolate shop! The display of timbers is mind-boggling and beautiful - and you just want to have them all! You won't buy anything cheap here, but neither will you find anything that is poor quality ... and what price can you put on the help and advice they supply?

So, with great stock and great staff who will go out of their way to help, you would go a long way to find another business like this one!
