This review is for Internode, Adelaide SA

We have used Internode for about five years, initially for ADSL Broadband, and most recently for the new NBN Broadband. Their service is very reliable and consistent, and their Support Services people, one the few occasions we have needed to consult them, are very helpful!

We recently connected to the NBN via Internode, and they made the procedure very easy. They were readily able to answer the questions we had that were not already covered by their website, and the router they sold us is good quality and very good value.

Their NBN plans are not the absolute cheapest on the market, but cheaper than the other "big players" and you get an excellent and reliable service for the money.

We were after a very specific used car, which we found advertised online at carsales.com.au. It was advertised by City Ford Rockdale.

Our initial contact was by email which brought a rapid response. We then arranged to view the car the following day, and were met by a smiling and charming salesman called Idy Ismanto, originally from Bali.

Idy was the perfect salesman: he stood back and let us inspect the car inside and out without "butting in" or trying to "push" the car; and when we were ready to ask questions, he knew the technical details of the car and easily answered all our queries.

The car was exactly as advertised and Idy's information was 100% correct. The price was very competitive and the car was in excellent condition inside and out.

Idy's manner was relaxed and friendly, but totally without the annoying "I'm your new best mate" approach of some salesmen. Idy's handling of the sales paperwork process was very calm and reassuring. Everything was carefully detailed and explained to us.

The experience was extremely positive ... except for us getting completely lost during the test drive, which only drew a chuckle from Idy when we finally arrived back.

After we purchased the car, Idy rang us about a week later to ensure that we were happy with the car and that there were no issues.

The only negative point I could make is that parking is not easy.

This review is for Riverview Produce - Fruit, Veg & Stockfeeds, Richmond NSW

This business sells fresh vegetables from their own farm on-site (both hydroponic and grown-in-the-ground), plus they offer a wide range of fruit & veg from other growers, as well as fresh eggs, home-made baked goods and jams. I have found that much of their fruit & veg is significantly cheaper than regular supermarket prices, and certainly a lot fresher!

They also have a large stockfeeds business: a range of horsefeeds, bulk dog food, chook pellets, bulk birdseed etc. We have found their stockfeed prices are generally cheaper than any of their competitors.

They also sell a few plant seedlings on the side - you never know what you might find each visit. At different times I've come across everything from herbs & veges, ornamental annuals and perennials, through to cactus!

The kids can also have a chat with their pet Cockatoo, and have a look at the chooks and goats as well.

Parking is a breeze, and the staff are always happy and smiling. Definitely worth visiting on a regular basis!

This business is a gift store aimed primarily at men, plus it has a big range of Collectables and Memorabilia, such as high quality die-cast models, collectable coins, pins and patches, as well as Ned Kelly memorabilia.

As well as the Windsor store, there are also stores at Baulkham Hills and Narellan, as well as an online store.

You could spend hours browsing through this store - there are so many interesting items. The staff are friendly, very knowledgeable about their stock, and very happy to help you find just what you are after.

I have used the online store for a number of years, and have found their prices to be much cheaper than the usual retail stores.

Delivery times are usually very quick; however, if they happen to be out of stock of a particular item, I have found that they will always get in touch with you to see if you need the rest of your order sent immediately or if it is OK to wait for the remaining item.

I have never had any issues with this company and have found them very reliable.

This review is for Oze Pharmacy, Richmond, Richmond NSW

This particular store is part of a chain of discount pharmacies, and they also have an online store.

The Richmond store is quite large and carries a very comprehensive range of stock at prices much cheaper than most other chemists. As well as the usual pharmaceuticals, they have a great range of vitamins and minerals, and a section devoted to Homyped footwear.

The sales staff are very friendly. They have given me very helpful advice on many occasions, and are very happy to help you choose the exact product for your needs.

Parking is great - either in the main street, or in the large Coles carpark at the rear.

This review is for "The Butcher Shop", Richmond NSW

verified email - 08 Mar 2014

This little butcher shop with the unassuming name provides great quality meat, plus a tempting range of "value-added" meat lines: things like kebabs, chicken & bacon mignons, marinated meats, fantastic Italian chicken schnitzels, and so on. You can see the meat prep area and the shop always looks very clean and hygienic.

On average, their prices may be higher than the supermarkets, but the meat is always beautifully fresh, the quality is generally better and a wider range. Plus you get personalised service and advice from cheerful and happy staff!

Parking is great: the shop backs onto "Woodhills Carkpark" and on most days, parking is not a problem. It is adjacent to a fantastic fruit & veg shop with a well-stocked deli section, so you can pick up all your fresh food in one go!

This is a family-run business that has been in Richmond for decades. It has recently expanded, so there is an even bigger range of bicycles and gear. Despite the great range of bikes and gear in stock, they will order in anything you need.

They also do repairs and servicing on-site, and their prices are very reasonable.

The prices for their stock are very competitive, and the service ... absolutely second to none! They are extremely knowledgeable and take great care to ensure you end up with the bike and gear that is right for you.

This a gift store for men, but there is also some stuff that women would like as well. They are located in Windsor Mall near the corner of Kable St. They have a huge range of sporting gear and sporting-team licensed apparel. They also stock a large range of collectibles: high-quality scale model cars, coins etc; as well as things like cuff-links, lighters, keyrings, belt buckles, gear for your bar, puzzles, Ned Kelly memorabilia - the range just goes on and on. You could spend hours browsing through this place!

The service is great: the staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If you don't know what to buy, they are very happy to help you find just the right gift.

As well as their Windsor store, they also have stores at Baulkham Hills and Narellan, as well as an online store.

This review is for Regent Theatre, Richmond NSW

verified email - 08 Mar 2014

The Richmond Regent is in a heritage-listed Art Deco theatre. I think the old building adds to the charm of the experience. There are two cinemas: one upstairs and one downstairs.

The chairs are adequately comfortable, the sound is good, the screens are a reasonable size. There is parking in the street outside or there is a carpark at the rear of Toxana Street. The prices are cheaper than the bigger "city" cinemas.

The one thing that may be a negative for some people is that there is a flight of steps from the street to the foyer and another big flight of steps to the upstairs cinema.

Approximate cost: $9-$11
