We have used Fowles twice in the past 8 years to replace carpets in two different properties. I must say that they have always been very professional and competitively priced. Last job completed we identified a small issue in the carpet installed in one of the bedrooms. Once we contacted Fowles, they did not hesitate in replacing the carpet in the whole bedroom. Installers were very polite and professional. Baldy the sales consultant was great to deal with and has a wealth of knowledge in the flooring industry. Highly recommend.

Beware when using this business. Our experience with them was very negative to say the least.
We visited Mike’s Carpet Discounters Carrum Downs (MAHAJAN & SONS PTY. LTD.) as we were exploring our options for flooring replacement at our home. First thing that stroke me was the state of the warehouse in Carrums Down (water damage in ceiling - leaking into the actual showroom) however consultants on site were nice. They offered to send someone to our place to quote us (Harsha was his name). He seemed to be friendly and helpful. First red flag was when he asked for a 50% deposit to secure materials based on his calculations before even finalising a formal quote. My wife was very keen as she liked the materials on offer. When I queried Harsha about the 50% deposit required, he advised that the company has so many debtors as people are not paying them after completing their jobs, so now they are asking for 50% upfront. My wife agreed to paying the 50% deposit. That same evening I decided to do some homework and check reviews about this company as what we were told by Harsha didn't seem quiet right . I quickly realised that one should steer away from this company, based on the negative reviews posted here and in other public forums.
We then contacted Mike's carpet the following day requesting a refund. Keep in mind here that we haven't locked in a job, we haven't even received a quote at this stage.
Two days of following up and calls from our end, with no results. I then contacted Harsha who got their accounts team to email us back, only to state that they will charge us a 10% refund processing fee. Outrageous to say the least. These guys advertise free quotes to start with, please remember that we haven't even received a quote here.
We the contacted our bank and disputed the transaction as fraudulent. We received our funds from our bank 45 days later, once the dispute was finalised as this business couldn't provide any evidence to support the charge on our credit card.
In between, there were so many calls and emails from our end where they hung up on us, did not respond to emails, were rude to us and the list is long.
In the meantime, remember to exercise extreme care when dealing with this business.

Definitely recommend these guys. Punctual, educated, reliable and hard working. They handled my furniture as if it was theirs. Very happy with their service. I will recommend them to family and friends.

Singh and his guys have done a fantastic job at my place. Front and backyard landscaping was done to the highest standards. He fixed and replaced the old drains, new lawn, exposed aggregate concrete driveway, bamboo fencing etc. Singh was very approachable from the start to the end of the project, allowed for any last minute changes and has proven to be very knowledgeable. I am very happy with the end product as it was a challenging job. Couldn't recommend Singh enough. A big thank you.

I have used them for a job at my place, got quoted by a tradie from JMA Construction Group who ended up being a conman, not registered and left me with a messy unfinished job that it is costing me lots of money to fix. Service seeking's response to my complaint was: it is now between me and the tradie, it is not their fault that he wasn't registered and they didn't check it. Basically anyone with a valid ID and ABN can register with them start quoting customers. I have reported it to the ACCC and Consumers Affairs. Be careful with guys poeple!. The tradie that I hired through their website was unlicensed and unregistered. Needless to say that ServiceSeeking stated that the mentioned tradie was licensed when I called them to check. I went to post my review on their website and got blocked, they have even blocked from their facebook. Then someone called me a year later recognising their stuff up and apologising for the inconvenience. Still blocked from their facebook though...By the way, they still don't check the licensing of the business they advertise on their website, so be careful everyone!
