I recently went on a 3 day guided walk along the Great Ocean Walk. I did it as a fundraiser for the Guide Dog Association, and because it was a fun thing to do with my friends. Raw Travel (part of Intrepid Travel) were the ones who made sure that we had a great place to sleep (Lighthouse Cottages), delicious food, and we didn't get lost! I was a little hesitant as I thought that only people over 45 did Australian guided walks, but Mike and Dave great fun and I thoroughly enjoyed not having to worry about the finer details of the hike- like not having to carry my own chocolate supply. Their other overseas trips sound amazing and will definitely look at doing them in the future.

This review is for Ready Steady Print, Brighton VIC

I found Ready Steady Print on Womow, as I needed to get 5000 stickers printed. Right from the start their customer service was fantastic, Nick returned my emails and calls staight away- and was even able to beat a quote from another company.
I recieved my stickers as promised about 10 days later, but was a little dissapointed that they look a little washed out and grainy compared to my business cards (printed by a different company). Next time I will give them a sample so that they know what I expect.

This review is for The Fishtank - Fish & Chippery, Brighton VIC

Last thursday a friend and I decided it was a perfect night for fish and chips at the beach. I found these guys on womow and was not dissapointed. We had grilled flake, greek salad & chips and each was delicious- especially the crunchy chips. We took our food away, but they also have some nice outside seating available. I will be back for more.

Normally I buy my Ugg boots from markets, but this time I couldn't wait and needed them asap. I found Jumbo Ugg Boots on Google, and they ended up being not too far away. Their show room was new and clean, and they had many styles to choose from. The sales assistent was very helpful, explaining to me about the popular styles and colours- they also have some nice shorter ones for the warmer months. Their prices are comparable to that at the markets.

This review is for Passport World Food Cafe, Elsternwick VIC

I stopped by Passport Cafe this afternoon, to do some work in sun. I walked inside to place my order and I was greeted by 2 surly staff- I didn't even get a "Hi, how are you ?" .The herbal tea arrived (one very small pot) and tasted as I had expected. Later I went back inside to pay, and all the waitress said was "$3" and held her hand out- not even a "thankyou" or "please" or "have a nice day". I won't be going back there next time I need a little sun and tea.

This review is for Caffe e Cucina, South Yarra VIC

We had a girls brunch at Caffee Cucina e Bar earlier this week. The menu was pretty typical, except for the sweet ricotta on toasted turkish bread with honey and cinamon- yummo! I was alittle dissapointed by the size when it first arrived, but it was quite rich and I was barely able to finish it in the end.

This review is for Riverland Bar & Cafe, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 30 Sep 2007

A friend introduced me to Riverland acouple of weeks ago. Its a located downstairs from Fed Square right next to the Yarra River. Drinks and service are pretty standard, but as it is tucked away a little you can avoid the typical Fed Square crowd. There is heaps of outdoor seating to enjoy the afternoon sun and if the company is off you can always admire the orginal brickwork of the building. Come 5 pm, this place gets pretty full.

This review is for Endota Spa, Hampton VIC

I found these guys on womow and promptly booked myself in for a well deserved 1 hour massage. I was late getting there so I arrived a little flustered, but as soon as I walked through the doors the staff made me feel instantly relaxed. I was having some neck problems so my therapist, Laura, spent most of the time working on that area. I didn't feel better straight away, but now 2 days later the pain has almost gone and I dont feel as tired. Also, they were very kind and only charged me for the 45 mins I was there.

This review is for St Kilda Delicatessen, St Kilda VIC

verified email - 26 Sep 2007

St Kilda Delicatessen is a cute little cafe and french deli in one- and a great way to escape the Ackland St attitude. I had the ploughmans lunch, which consisted of a big chunk of hard cheese, ham, pastrami, marinated olives, pickles, fresh bread and tomatos. They gave me just enough of each item, and I left feeling very satisfied. Aside from the cafe foods, they also sell frozen take home meals, including lasagna and soups and they have a great range of deli produce.

I get coffee from Golden Nugget Bakery when ever I am in Ballarat (they have soy milk) and have not been dissapointed yet. Last time I also had a chicken roll and a bite of a choc eclair- next time I will remember to leave more room for the eclair!
