I have bought two guitars here over the years and they are very helpful indeed, my last one which I bought myself for a Christmas present from My cat Tristan, (Well its good to have an excuse,) Was a Very nice classical 12 string guitar, one of the minor strings broke a few weeks ago and when I took it in this week to get a replacement they just did it there and then and No charge.
The staff are very friendly and professional and know a vast range of different things though some specialise in guitars and others electric pianos etc but they will guide you and you never have a feeling that there just trying to sell you the most expensive. This a a large modern store and has everything, well I think they do as I wouldn't know what everything is in music land, but I am sure if they didn't have they would get it in or know where to.

Approximate cost: $1580.00 string replacement free.

This is a large and modern Outlet in Waterloo amongst the heart of the Clothing and shoe store outlets of Waterloo and Alexandria.
This store is very well laid out and has a vast selection of Boots, Shoes, Bags and Accessories, its a fun place to shop while browsing theres quite good funky music. The staff are all very good and know their stuff and get a handle of the sort of thing your looking for and then shoes you a range of items similar to give you more options.
Parking is across the street or in the back streets of Wellington or Cope streets and you'll only have a short walk. Theres other stores and Park Cafe really nearby so you can do a few things in the one stop.

Approximate cost: $Depends on your selection

This is a nice modern clean club and has a very good restaurant attached, well two infact a very large chinese upstairs with a great selection of food Various different Chinese selections and styles, some satays and some roasts with roast vegetables a very good selection on the dessert bar also.
Theres another Restaurant downstairs but it was closed on the Monday night. Drinks are reasonable and theres a nice but not over bearing gaming section.
I enjoyed my stop in here coming back from Batemans bay and I and a few friends had a relaxing and lovely evening in a safe well secured eating, drinking and gaming club. Staff are all very friendly and professional and the restaurant was well stocked and very clean.

Approximate cost: $18.00 All you can eat buffet

This review is for Aunty Molly's Olde Bakehouse, Morisset NSW

What a Hoot, what a great place to get your knees up so to speak, I have been here a few times with family dinners, and you just cant go wrong if your of the era like my Mother inlaw and remember all the songs from the war, WWI, or just like me who was taken to some of the great theatre restaurants of Sydney as a child in the 70's and early 80's you will love your night out here, this place has Personality, in Aunty Molly, AKA Toni Stevens a singer of some note back in the day, she now runs this restaurant and does a little show as well, a singalong depending on the crowd and if your brave enough you can even get up and belt out a tune, its not Karoke, so make sure you know the words.
The food is Good, not exceptional but because of the entertainment they can get away with that. The service is nice and efficient and its fully licensed. The setting is a lovely old Bake House in Morissett, so theres things to look at and a bit of history to the place. Its fun and all the staff make sure you leave having had some fun and fond memories and laughter shared with friends, and the mother in law.

Approximate cost: $35.00 set menu and Ala carte

This review is for Watagan Lodge/Martin's Restaurant, Martinsville NSW

I have been here three times as it is really what one might regard as fine dinning in the Area, but I find it a shame, a waste of it's potential, they have all the ingredients but hav'nt found the recipe.
Let me explain they have a lovely site with a relaxing a pleasant bush setting, they have a good reastaurant set up, a chef who cooks and who's food comes out looking good and tasting great, they have staff, so what's wrong?
If you follow my reviews you will know I refer to the VIBE of a place quite often, or you might think of it as the heart and soul, the personality. Ok we are not after the Hard Rock Cafe Vibe, who have attention to customer service and it all happening around you, not even Hogs Breath Vibe who to a lesser extent have busy parafanalia and service. But this place misses the mark on character, and a personality, something that after you leave you remember fondly, and keep a happy fun experience in mind, and this should be along with the good food and service.
It's not enough for such a place to rely on good food, it's remote and must have more to draw you back. That's what I miss, whilst I could write very good food, service good, you won't come away with a memory, a WoW that was great and fun. With this, when your talking about where would you like to go next time, this place would come to the fore.

This review is for Alexandria Vet Hospital, Alexandria NSW

This is a Very Good Clean and modern Vet practice, they have a couple of consultation rooms, a fully equipped operating room to the rear and a good sized waiting room, where they often have a range of adoption cats or kittens in a run, which I always want to have one but My cat wont have the competition, as he is very territorial.
They also have a vast range of foods, supplies, Worming and flea tablets from different companies, everything you could possibly want for you pets needs. We have been coming here for 7 years ever since Tristan arrived from Amsterdam, he has a annual check up and loves getting into the travel carrier, I think he is secretly hoping to go back to Holland. Anyway they deal with him well and do a good thorough check and stamp his health passport. Being a pedigree British Shorthair from one of the best breeders in the Netherlands he certainly has attitude, but they seem to manage him well.
Always a pleasure. All the staff are professional, helpful and caring, and at the end of the day thats really what you want in someone who's looking after that other very important member of the family, someone with compassion and who loves animals.
My partner is always complaining that Tristan is treated better and loved more and I, reassuringly, with crossed fingers behind my back say "thats not true"

This Homyped store on Botany Road in Waterloo, is a factory Outlet store, so its big and its got allot of selection, they also have a good range, I went with the Mother in Law who is of the right age and posture for these shoes, just kidding, she is a nurse so they are also excellent for those standing all day or having to walk heaps.
I bought a pair of Sandals, going into winter they were ridiculously cheap, but there very good quality and will last for years, they look a tad like Birkenstocks so Im happy.
The ladies in the store are very helpful and know their stock. And you get the great discounts of an outlet store, so a worthwhile trip.

Approximate cost: $Ranges on style and type

This review is for Waterloo Laundry, Waterloo NSW

verified email - 01 May 2012

Waterloo Laundry is more than a Laundry its a commercial and Domestic Laundry and Dry cleaning Service.
I enjoy drop of my uniforms, personal trousers and suits here for cleaning as the staff are alway so so very nice, and they are chatty and pleasant to deal with. They seem to have a huge commercial business operating in the background but always have time for a talk and smile. There give a very quick quote never ask for the money first which is trusting and they are fast, if sometimes you really need something back faster they will do it, but generally two days is good for them.
They are committed to providing you excellence and total care in laundry services. Its true and you feel it when you go in there.
Good attentive staff, fast efficient service and product always clean. Its an easy one to walk to for me but if your driving most of the day its easy to stop in front but there is a bus lane in the early evening, but you can park behind in Cope street and walk about 400 metres.

Approximate cost: $6.00 to $8.00 depending on laundry or dry cleaning per item

This review is for I Fixem Car Repairs, Waterloo NSW

I Fixem Car repairs will do almost all makes and models and have a full range of modern equipment to keep up with the latest technology. David Churchill the owner is brilliant before taking care of the services on my Caprice, he looked after my Ford Fairlaine and the services are done very well with the upmost of care and attention to detail and if theres something that should be out of the ordinary and not expected he will ring and check that you want it done.
They have over the years replaced tyres and batteries, gotten me a replacement aerial when I left mine up through a car wash, and will organise other things like details and washes etc.
I love this car repairs and trust them with my most prized toy, they will make sure it runs well and has everything it needs topped up and that the service booked is complete and stamped.
excellent service, excellent mechanics.

Approximate cost: $Aprox. $230.00 Full service

This review is for IGA, Alexandria NSW

This is a convenient IGA below near our Apartment building so its handy if you need that last minute thing that you forgot in the big shop like Butter, or feeling like some IceCream.
There is a really nice fresh bakery attached and Cafe that make some good and unique foods, I have on occasion bought some things like their Quiches and they are very nice, their roasted vegetable lasagne is also good for the Vegetarian in ones life.
Overall its a very modern IGA in a very new Apartment complexe, on a very busy street, there is parking underneath, but good luck finding the entrances they are in the side street behind, anyway if you were driving just drive around the block and you'll find it.
The staff a very nice and extremely helpful. Its more expensive than Coles and Woolworths and theres no loyalty programme. But It is convenient. Theres a grog shop downstairs also.

Approximate cost: $What ever you spend
