Freo is a bit of a vintage gold mine. Hidden down an arcade, Broken Doll is small but jam packed with high quality vintage pieces that you would actually wear. The lovely lady at the counter said alterations could be carried out in 15 minutes - awesome! They also have a section of clothing that is for rental only - perfect for fancy dress. Some great 1920's dresses and furs.
Violet Pilot is a neat little boutique with a mix of a contemporary and vintage vibe, selling clothes from local designers and a cute selection of shoes, scented home made soaps and other beauty products. Little on the pricey side. Very creative bunch!
Trish's place carries a wide range of goods from mirrors to chandelliers, bars and counters, console tables and mirrors marble statues, chandelliers. They also sorces goods for customers who need that unusual piece or something in large quantities such as china or chairs. There is no pushy sales talk nor are you made to feel uncomfortable for' just looking' as you sometimes find in other antique shops
The treatment rooms available are perfect for a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The Aromatherapy Back massage for 30 min cost me $58 and was pure bliss.
Apart from Hot Stone, Swedish and Reflexology they offer waxing, pedicure and manicures, make up and Facial treatments. Very professional and enjoyable!
Didgeridoo Breath is a real store, with real people, next to Fremantle trainstation. The people working there are passionate and knowledgeable didgeridoo players and are very helpfull and not pushy. They do have an online shop with a large selection of didgeridoos, accessories and other world musical instruments. Great guys! Didgeridoos start around $75
Located approximately 250 metres from South Beach is this family run B&B. They offer apartments (just opened recently), rooms and 2 cottages.Three rooms have spa ensuites, plus shared kitchen and dining lounge area. The other two have a large shared spa bathroom and share a kitchen and lounge dining area. There is a separate guest lounge with wood fire place. All rooms feature WIFI, TV, DVD player and mini fridge. Rates include a fully cooked breakfast. Whenever we have people coming from overseas we make sure that we secure a room a Daly View. reservation highly recommended, in high season it can be difficult! The indonesian/australian couple running the business are always charming and down to earth. Whatever you need just address Tina. Standart room cost $130 per night and there is always place for a bit of negotiation if guests are staying longer. Parking inside the premisse possible.
Sharing the spotlight with the books is the cafè (it is called Bookcaffè, after all), which fills the bookshop with the lovely aroma of coffee. Sandwiches are around $9.50 (for tuna and cucumber) which i might say is a little bit costly for what you get. Not impressed with the service, still a nice, quiet place to chill.
Great vegetarian options whilest at the Fremantle Markets. Service is really friendly and prices are cheap. Everything prepared in advanced, so it might not be super fresh, but it is super quick:)
Great indian vegetarian food to reasonable prices. The service can be sometimes slow considering the popularity.
Eden Delicacy is a purely vegetarian eatery serving up a variety of meals, snacks and desserts, which shows you have a large variety to choose from even without the meat:) Friendly service. Very cheap prices
