Nice to have a local fruit and vegetable shop that provides an good alternative to the big supermarkets close by. Range of goods not as great as the supermarkets, but the quality of the fruit and vegetables is generally very good. They have fantastic weekly specials
Generally a good range of clean and good quality second hand clothing, books, bedding and bric a brac. Prices comparable to all other second hand, op shops in and around Ballarat
Excellent range of furniture for all budgets. From quality antiques to good quality second hand furniture. Proceeds of all sales go to assisting the many welfare programs at UnitingCare in Ballarat.
The range of bread and bread related products is diverse and delicious. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Prices seem to be about average for the products they sell. Usually able to park close to the shop.
Pleasant surroundings and generally good distance between tables. Staff are generally friendly and efficient. Menu has good variety but standard of food can vary significantly at times. Generally a very enjoyable experience going there: especially Friday's after work
Approximate cost: $20
Excellent range of stock for family pets and livestock: pet bedding, food for pets and livestock, toys, worming products for pets and livestock, etc. Easy access and good parking. Very busy place, but staff are always helpful and wait time is generally minimal.
Very romantic accommodation. Fantastic double spa in the room and really comfortable bed. Adults only so no disturbance by noisy children in very quiet and private surroundings. So much better than motel accommodation. Delightful gardens which include so many perfumed roses to 'take the time to smell'. Very close to the centre of Ballarat. Easy walking distance to restaurants, shops etc.
Approximate cost: $150
Always a treat to dine at Da Uday. Fantastis choice of Indian and Thai dishes and reasonably priced. The decor is delightful, although the tables can be a bit too close together at times. I have a B&B nearby and often recommend Da Uday to my guests. Without exception, they have all thanked me for such a good recommendation.
Very unusual, diverse and interesting range of products. Presentation / display of stock is creative and a visual delight. Definately ahead of its time in Ballarat and still a trend setter in most ways.
Extensive range of fresh quality flowers and at times plants. Friendly staff that assist if required. Gift wrapping available. Easy access. Extended opening hours
