I've been coming here on and off for a couple of years and seeing Laura. She's one of the only hairdressers I've been to where I feel relaxed sitting in the chair because I know I'll walk out of there with a decent cut. My hair isn't the biggest concern in my life, and she gets that, and I'm not made to feel guilty that I'm not spending hours every day on it. But I still want a fashionable hair cut and she gives me something that I can deal with. Laura and Mike (her partner who manages the salon) are both laid-back and friendly and that's the vibe the whole place has. I live across town now so it's an effort to get there, but when I end up going to a different hairdresser I regret it!

I was given a gift voucher for Mecca and I've been putting off using it as I'm pretty clueless about that kind of stuff and they stock loads of different posh products and brands so I had no idea where to start. They were busy and I had to wait a bit to be seen but they were really lovely and helpful and actually gave me a full make-over which I didn't expect. Cammi looked after me, and I thought she was great - tailoring her recommendations to suit me and I learnt lots. V happy with the products I walked away with.

I haven't really been to a spa or salon before, but I was given a gift voucher for skin day spa and it was sooo lovely. I had a massage and a facial. I've had a few massages before and it was the best I've ever had, the masseuse really listened to me and gave me helpful advice. And I was in heaven with the oxygen facial. I've never had a facial before (and I think this might be a bit different to standard ones anyway) but I didn't expect it to be such an incredibly relaxing experience. Also, they were fantastic as my voucher had actually expired and were really helpful in choosing which treatments to have.
