This review is for V Burger Bar, East Victoria Park WA

The burgers are great, we come here quite regularly to dine, or even to get takeout. I wish there was more seating but that can't be helped. My favourite burgers on the menu are the chicken coriander burger, and the mini chicks burger. I was hoping the blue cheese and mushroom burger would be good but you can hardly taste any blue cheese in it, which was disappointing. But who cares when there are other options that are so good. They make their own aioli but i find it too oily tasting. Service is impeccable. I keep coming back for more.

This new sushi belt restaurant is okay, pretty average really. Not as good as Jaws, quality wise, but thankfully half as expensive. I suppose you get what you pay for. The service is good, and I like the variety you get of sushi and dim sum. Neither the sushi nor the dim sum is very authentic tasting, but well, it is what it is. I like the soft shell crab sushi on the deluxe plate. I still prefer Jaws or even Edo Shiki in the city. Somehow even though Edo Shiki is the same franchise as this place, the quality of the sushi is better. It could be because Zushi Bento is still so new and they have to work out the kinks. When they first opened I would find a bone or a scale in my salmon sashimi, but I must say they seem to be getting better about that sort of thing. Overall I would go back for a quick sushi fix if I were shopping in the area, but not the first place I would seek out if I were dying for sushi-belt sushi.

This review is for Ohnamiya Japanese Takeaway Food, Applecross WA

Good place to go to for takeout. I honestly dislike dining in because it is always packed at dinnertime and all the tables are rather close together. Don't even bother with dining in if you have kids. Nitemare. Saying that, the service is always impeccable. The food is great, and I love the free green tea. Still bummed about them taking the green tea panacotta off the dessert menu!!!

This review is for Yuki Japanese Restaurant, Willetton WA

We go to Yuki pretty regularly as it is in a convenient location to us and it its layout and ambience is good for a young family (with 2 kids under 5) such as ours. I love the fact that it is good value for money, especially the bento box sets, and there is a wide variety of sets available for any appetite and any taste. I do find that the food is only average. It is not spectacular and not exactly authentic Japanese fine dining by any means, but it is good for what it is: a no fuss family-friendly restaurant with value-for-money decent food. Good for when you want to treat the family to a quick, none-too-fancy meal outside.

Dr Lauw is one of the best GPs I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. He is one of a select few whom I would trust my health, and most importantly the health of my young children with. He is really good at what he does, and knows what he's talking about and just has a way with children that puts them at ease. My search for a good family GP is now over!

This review is for Just Cuts, Perth WA

I desperately wanted a haircut but could not spend too much at my regular hairdresser. Decided to try Just Cuts thinking it would be an economical way to get a sorely needed revamp to my locks. Boy was I mistaken! I went in there for a Style Cut and purposely chose a no fuss hairstyle that would not require much technical expertise - a chin length bob with no layering, and no fringe, basically I wanted my hair to be 1 length throughout and to look sleek and neat. talked to the stylist and made sure she understood what I wanted out of the cut, and I thought all was fine. What I ended up with was a choppy bob with uneven bits, in fact the whole right side was about an INCH longer than my left. There were also quite a few strands that weren't even touched by the stylist's scissors. Even my husband noticed how bad the cut was when I got home. (and that's saying a LOT!) He actually had to help me with the especially uneven bits with the kitchen scissors! What a mortifying experience. Needless to say you get what you pay for. I'm just gonna wait till I can fit a proper salon visit into my budget next time. Lesson learnt. Never ever again.

Have never had a bad meal here. So many fantastic dishes: Lamb Rogan Josh, the seasonal Goat Curry, the Butter Chicken...SUPERB. Also love the new bar. The cocktails were delicious, especially the Mumbai Mojito! Well worth the embarrassment of crushed mint leaves stuck all over your teeth!
