This review is for Dovetail Cafe, Sydney NSW

Dovetail is a gorgeous little Cafe that is surrounded by artificial plants, but you still feel like your in a garden.
We ordered the spaghetti carbonara, which was deliciously cream and had bacon in it. We also had the bacon and egg burger, which was average as it lacked any sauce and needed some tomato or lettuce.
I'd definitely come back and try of some their other dishes that looked amazing, like the smoked salmon and egg omelette and a wide variety of smoothies.

This review is for Oiden Rice Bowl Bar, Sydney NSW

verified email - 27 May 2017

Oiden is a busy Japanese fast food restaurant/bar. We where here for dinner and there is a long queue.

When you come to Oiden, decide on your order and once your in the queue you will place your order at the Cashier and move along the cafeteria style setup and your food is ready. We ordered the Double BBQ Wagyu Beef bowl and the Oiden BBQ Beef bowl & both came with rice and pickled ginger. We also selected a a value set A for $2.50 extra, our meals came with miso soup and a drink (house made honey and lemon drink).
Once you have your food, the hardest part can be finding a table when they are busy. The beef and rice are so delicious and you get a smokey sweet soy sauce to pour all over your beef and rice.

We came to Koi to try Reynolds amazing dessert and they didn't disappoint. The dessert bar is stylish set up and comfortable. We ordered the caramel creme brulee, pistachio green tea brulee , mango cake and double chocolate glaze cake with coffees. All 4 desserts were delicious and had fantastic texturs.

This review is for Wagyu House, Croydon Park NSW

verified email - 25 May 2017

This was my 1st time at Wagyu House in Croydon and it was very nice. The $30 all you can eat price was good for value for the meat lovers. The meat was fresh and I loved the big variety of side dishes, especially the kimchi. Even though there was a lot of people here for lunch, the place was not smokey at all, which was great.
Most of the meat variety was beef and pork in a number of marinates, with 2 other marinades of chicken. I do which there was a bit more variety of seafood, other than squid.
Would definitely come back for my next Korean bbq fix.

The crispy pork was deep fried and was very dry.

This review is for Genki Sushi Sydney, Sydney NSW

verified email - 23 Apr 2017

Genki Sushi is a popular sushi train Japanese restaurant from Japan with real mini trains delivering your food. We visited Genki on their 1st day of opening, with half of the restaurant tables set up for the the soft opening. You order you food via an iPad and the food will be delivered to you on a cute mini train. Ordering the food with the iPad was challenging as there was a few technical difficulties with the wifi and the iPad froze a number of times.
The restaurant was clean and simply setup, but the air con needed to be on higher as it was slightly warm since it was in a basement area. The food come out quickly and overall good but not amazing. There needs to be more sashimi dishes and I was surprised there was no sea urchin items.
We ordered some takoyaki (which were really good), soft shell crab, Aburi Kingfish sushi, Creamy croquette (potatoes and corn filling), Karaage-fried chicken and a number of nigiri sushi.
Overall a nice sushi place with a bit of fum when getting your food.

This review is for Enzo's Cucina, Chipping Norton NSW

verified email - 11 Mar 2017

Enzo's Cucina is a pretty busy Italian Restaurant, so I recommend a booking if your going for dinner. The decor is clean, simple and comfortable. Overall the staff are quiet nice, especially the girls and the older gentlemen waiter.
We ordered the Garlic prawn pizza, which need a bit more garlic in it. In addition, we have the chicken salad, lamb shanks with mash and carrots (so good), beef cheeks with mash and green beans (another delicious dish), prawn gnocchi and eggplant penne.
If you come here, I definitely recommend the lamb shanks and the beef cheeks.

This review is for Jang Ta Bal, Strathfield NSW

verified email - 11 Mar 2017

This was my first time eating at Jang Ta Bal,Korean Restaurant & the wait for a table for 2 was a long one at 6pm, we waited for about 1 hour. The kitchen seemed oddly placed in front of the restaurant & waiting area.
When we were finally seat, they immediately placed the charcoal for the BBQ , but were didn't plan on having BBQ meat & in the end we felt like we had to. So we ordered Wagya beef bulgogi, pork belly (spicy marinade) & squid for the BBQ. We also had a serving of Japchae (sweet potato noodles), which was average in taste.
Overall the meal was ok, there was nothing really outstanding and personally I thought it was a bit pricey for the amount of food we recieved.

This review is for Kanzo, Parramatta NSW

verified email - 03 Mar 2017

Kanzo is a small Japanese restaurant that is quiet busy, so if you are coming for lunch, you may want to come a little earlier than Midday. The menu is simple with limited variety, so we ordered the Teriyaki seafood that came with rice, the karaage bento (which came with rice, salad, miso, chicken karaage and Teriyaki chicken, but you can also choose, fish, beef, salmon or pork katsu), takoyaki and a small dish of assorted sashimi).
I would have been good if they had Ramen on their menu, but overall the meal was pretty nice and good for value.

This review is for Bau Truong, Mount Pritchard NSW

verified email - 03 Mar 2017

Bau Truong is a Vietnamese restaurant situated within the Mounties Club. The restaurant has a clean and comfortable feel. This is my 1st time at Bau Truong and we ordered stir fried egg noodles with seafood, chicken and salted fish fried rice and stir fried rice noodles with seafood. The servings a pretty big and the prices of each dish ranged from $15 to $17 each.
The food was fragrant and all 3 dishes were delicious. The only negative point was that the food took a while to cook and we were getting pretty hungry.

Approximate cost: $49
