We had a badly leaking tap in our bathroom sink. After reading the reviews already given to Taps 'n Toilets, we rang them to come out and fix it. We were given a time frame that they would arrive, which they did. The work was carried out quickly and to a very high standard and at a cost much then than we had anticipated. Would definitely use Taps 'n Toilets again and would recommend to anyone.

We were down at Scarborough with friends yesterday and decided to buy some takeaway fish and chips from Morgans for lunch. Although they are undergoing renovations, this has not affected the quality of their food. Fish was fresh, chips perfect and the potato scallops were decadent and gorgeous.
My fridge, just out of warranty, was leaking water from the freezer. After seeing a review on WOMOW for Humphreys Refrigeration Service we rang to book an appointment. Mark asked us a few questions about the problem and the brand of the fridge and, rather than booking us in for an appointment, gave us advice over the phone as to what we could do to fix the problem. This sort of service is almost unheard of these days and we were absolutely blown away by Mark's honesty and integrity. In future if we need our fridge repaired, we would not go anywhere else.
We have used Redair on a number of occasions over the past few years with much success. However it seems that now that the business is up for sale they just don't give a darn any more. We were kept waiting at the airport for over an hour after our plane arrived. Our flight details were changed but Redair never bothered to check this (even though they had the flight number we were supposed to have told them - a little hard when you are 35,000 feet in the air!). We were eventually picked up and were to be taken to North Lakes from the International Airport. However, there had been a previous pickup at the domestic terminal and we were taken on an extended trip home via Redcliffe. Our journey, with peak hour traffic, took nearly two hours. I will NEVER use Redair again as I'm sure there are more professional transfer businesses around who put the customer first.

Since moving to Petrie over 20 years ago we have taken all our pets to French's Forest Veterinary Surgery. Over all these years their service has never been anything but top class and their love of animals is so obvious. For any surgery involved they always ring the next day to see how your pet is getting on. We moved to North Lakes a few years back but still return to French's Forest - can't imagine going anywhere else.
Sunday morning and my computer had been attacked by a Trojan Horse virus. After searching for 'computer doctors' I contacted Tristan from Techno Geek. About a 10 minute drive from my home at North Lakes and we dropped off. 4 hours later we went back and the virus gone, a virus program and a malware program had been installed, the system cleaned of all viruses and excess programs - all for $150. I now have pretty much a brand new PC - running like a train! Couldn't be happier and I would never go anywhere else from now on.

The setting of this lovely little Italian is really good as there is plenty of parking in the car park over the road. You have the choice of eating outside or dining inside and the menu caters for every taste. They even have a special 1/2 price menu on certain days. We have been there a few times now and can highly recommend.
The closest cinema complex to where we live at North Lakes is Birch Carroll & Coyle at Strathpine. I know they are not as big as Chermside, but I would expect that they would have all of the latest movies showing there, but that is not always the case. You also need to get into the queue well before the movie because it can take quite some time to get served as the same people who sell the tickets also dispense the popcorn, drinks etc. I know that you can buy online but the website does not have the facility to allocate seats for movie vouchers. The cinemas themselves are definitely showing their age and they have a musty smell - a good revamp would do them the world of good.
Last Friday night I was planning a night in with my daughter - watching movies and ordering pizza. We rang our order through at 7pm and were told that it would be delivered in 30 minutes. At 8pm we rang to find out what happened to our order, only to be told that they made a mistake and wrote it down as a pick-up rather than a delivery. We were then told that they would re-make our order and we would have it delivered in another 30 minutes. About 40 minutes later we received a phone call from Dominos to advise that their delivery person had left about an hour ago to deliver our pizzas and hadn't been seen our heard from since - an obvious lie. We received an apology and a promise of free vouchers in the mail as compensation...of course we received no vouchers. Lies and incompetence!
I have visited this shop on a few occasions now to buy fresh baked goods. The service is always friendly and nothing is too much trouble. One morning I was wanting to buy an iced bun to take to a friend's place for morning tea, however there were none on display. When I asked whether they had any, I was told that there were some fresh buns out the back and if I could wait just a little while they would ice one for me...which they did. Everything I have ever bought from them has been fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.
