Burlington BBQ restaurant isn't the biggest restaurant within Market Square, but I rate it as one of the best within this renowned precinct. It combines authenticity with large meal servings that are delicious - my weakness is char siu (BBQ pork) and this place is just fantastic. Value for money is second to none and the service was quite good - I highly recommend Burlington BBQ.

We employed Imago Photography for our wedding day after visiting a number of businesses as potential candidates. I can faithfully say that we had a great time with Frank, our photographer. His people skills were first class and his energy made the shots enjoyable rather than a chore. While the cost of the wedding album was quite high, it was well worth it - the images captured were brilliant and so much more than we could have expected. Frank is a true professional and would be great as your wedding photographer!
We took our five month old son for a photo session in support of the 'Babies of Brisbane' book - this initiative is a fantastic idea and results in proceeds being provided to the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation. We also purchased a large portrait of our son - the image captured was beautiful, with the photographer and all staff very supportive and making it a great experience. While the cost of the portrait was high, if you are after a quality image with little pressure to purchase (staff were very understanding of budgets), then this is the place to go. I highly recommend this business.
We went to the Fish Factory at Colmslie when we realised that Raptis Seafood had closed its retail shop - this place was just down the road. The variety of fresh seafood was pretty impressive, with the Mooloolaba King Prawns and Townsville Tiger Prawns both high quality. Price was interesting - we asked for 500g of each and promptly received 600g of the expensive Tiger Prawns and 400g of the less expensive King Prawns - we didn't realise until after we'd left the shop when looking at the receipt. It was late in the day I guess and it meant a higher sale price. We were also sold a $8.95 prawn and mango dip (price was not advertised), which turned out to be very disappointing.

My husband's haircut is probably the best one that he has ever got and this was the first time that we'd tried Mr Men Barber Shop at Carindale. Highly professional staff who were creative and vastly improved my husband's hairstyle. The end product was brilliant - I highly recommend this business, if only all barbers paid the same amount of attention to detail as Mr Men Barbers!

Cafe Citrus is somewhere that I would recommend, though it wasn't outstanding, and is not the best place to eat on Oxford Street! It was fairly busy even for a Tuesday lunch time - the portion size was impressive and the service was acceptable (though our waitress was very quiet). We had the Lamb Souvlaki and the Bulimba Beef Burger - while the chips were great, there wasn't a great deal of lamb and the burger pattie wasn't anything special to make it "Bulimba"-specific.

Robert Channon Wines is just a beautiful place to visit on the Granite Belt - the vines are immaculately looked after and the cellar door is a pleasure to visit. Is the verdelho the best I've tasted? I have no doubt - it is simply on a level above anything else I've experienced and the winery settings help with . But verdelho is just one of the wines RCW does - the chardonnay is also very good and shows the potential of the Granite Belt for other types of wine apart from verdelho!

When we visit the Farmers Markets in Canberra, my husband and I find ourselves in the line up for a Wagonga Coffee within about 5 minutes of our arrival. The staff are very friendly and most importantly, the coffee is aromatic and always well done. We often buy the Fairtrade Kenya Masai blend, which is pretty reasonable for only $10!

Though it is a little expensive, Real Chai is certainly a step above what you would find at the big supermarkets or even in big tea retailers. We tried the Real Chai blend at the Old Bus Depot Markets in Canberra and it was brilliant - just a beautiful brew, so much so that I had to buy a tin! If you love chai tea, you have to try this blend!

Margan Family Wines is probably my favourite winery to visit in the Hunter Valley - not only is the product of the highest standard, but the service is first class when visiting for a tasting. While I cannot comment on the reds, the Semillon is brilliant. While you can visit Tyrells, Tempus Two or the other big ones, Margan is well worth a visit - highly recommended.
