I have only been once, and only because it was a Friday night, and our normal doctor surgery was shut for the night. I took my young daughter along as she wasn't feeling well, and I thought she probably needed some antibiotics that couldn't wait over the weekend.
It was surprisingly quiet when we arrived, and the wait time wasn't as bad as I had heard it would be. We waited around half an hour or so before seeing a doctor. However, the doctor was difficult to understand, and very brusque. He didn't really check her over at all, just gave me a script for some antibiotics, and told me to collect a urine sample from her and take it to pathology. I felt that he wasn't very thorough.
I did get a sample and gave it to the front desk, as the pathology seemed to have shut by then. I was told that they would not give me the results over the phone as they couldn't positively identify me, which I guess is fair enough, but they also wouldn't give me the results at the front counter, with photo ID. I would have to come back in a few days and wait (for however long it took) to see a doctor just to get the results. I think this is a terrible waste of time, it would be better to give the results over the counter, and then to be advised if you still need to see a doctor. I didn't go back to get the results, better to see our own doctor the following week, as she had the antibiotics to start.
I was reasonably unimpressed by this point. When we tried to exit the building, the automatic doors opened very slowly, and there wasn't anything on the glass to indicate it was there at a child's level. My little girl ran smack into the glass, and got quite a bump on the head, and I had to take her home on concussion watch. The only upside, is that they did put us straight back in to see the doctor to check she wasn't seriously hurt by the door.
There are a couple of pros for this centre: it's opened late, it's bulk-billed, and it has a late opening pharmacy on the premises. But, if you want proper, considered medical care, go somewhere else.

We have an older split system air conditioner that needed a service, and it had started leaking some water back inside the house. I gave Capital Air a call, and was pleased that they could come out to have a look at it the following week. The man that came was very punctual and polite. He gave it a good clean, serviced it, and unblocked the drain that was causing the leak. He was efficient, and cleaned up after, leaving no mess for me. It is working perfectly now.
I had also been considering putting a second unit in the main bedroom, and when I mentioned that, he gave me a quote for it on the spot, saving me some time.
The cost of the service was about $70 cheaper than the previous service by another provider, and just as thorough. I will definitely be using Capital Air again to service my sir conditioner.

Approximate cost: $195

I have been using these guys for our pest control needs for several years. We are extremely happy with them. They always show up on time, they do their job efficiently and they only charge what they quote over the phone. The pests are gone very quickly, and stay gone for the whole year. Every member of the team I have ever spoken to has been extremely helpful and friendly.
A couple of times I have had to change the appointment at the last minute for some reason or other, and they have been very understanding, and just re-booked me. There wasn't any hassle.
One year when we'd had a lot of rain around the time we had the house sprayed, I found the spiders came back much earlier than normal, and within the warranty period. I rang them up and they came out within a few days to do a re-spray free of charge. They honoured the warranty with no problems and I was happy with the outcome.
They also send me a reminder or give me a call when the twelve month period is up. I find this extremely useful in making sure my home stays pest-free all year round. Otherwise I tend to forget and put off things like this until we become overrun and I can't ignore it any longer. So this is a great bonus to help me keep organised.

This is a great spot for morning tea with friends. There is a huge range of teas to choose from. And my daughter liked the hot chocolate. It's nice to sit outside, even when it's cold, as there are outdoor heaters, and blankets to place on your lap. The service was friendly and prompt.
There is also an extensive range of teas to buy for home, as well as tea accessories, teapots, cups, etc. I especially like that they have sample sized packs of tea in a lot of varieties, allowing you to try it before buying a large pack of it.

A large indoor playcentre inside the DFO building at Fyshwick. It has a separate toddler area with small ball-pit, jumping castle, slides, and rockers. This is a great space for younger kids, suitable up to about 3 or 4 years. Once they get to that age, they will probably prefer the bigger kids area, which has 3 big wavy slides, 2 straight slides, and numerous climbing platforms, swinging balls, a small basketball/soccer court, and an area with ball shooters. All of this can provide hours of entertainment.

It's a little overpriced, and adults have to pay, though each adult entry receives a drink voucher. No external food is allowed in, and the food there is a bit pricey. However there is a good variety of food available and it seems nice enough, at least I've had no complaints from my kids.

It can be pretty busy, during the holidays especially, and it gets noisy and hot inside with all the kids running around and yelling. Every time I've been there it has quietened down considerable in the early afternoon, making it much more pleasant to sit and watch the kids (or join in the fun).

Don't forget your socks, as they won't let your kids play without them on. Adults are included in the socks on policy too.

Friendly and helpful staff in a clean and safe environment for the kids. It's a fun day out, and the kids should sleep well that night :)
