We went to Adore Tea, especially for the high-tea, which we had heard good things about. Unfortunately we left deeply disappointed. On the plus side, our reservation was accommodated, food allergies were taken into consideration and the staff were very pleasant. On the other side of the coin, the portions were extremely small, they were unevenly portioned, the flavours described - such as lemon-myrtle butter, were barely discernible, the slices seemed to be store-bought, rather than home-made and again, the serves were minuscule. The same price applied whether you had the sparkling wine on arrival or the non-alcoholic option. We also had to ask twice for water for the table. The high-tea represented poor value for money and poor quality food. I would not recommend.
ETA: Menu listed "French sparkling wine" - prosecco from Wangaratta, whilst nice, is NOT French sparkling wine. False advertising is not impressive.

Approximate cost: $48 per person

Went there today with my kids. Had to wait a few minutes for the waitress to find us a table. When you have kids (toddlers) a few minutes feels like an hr. We were just told to go to the back corner. We sat down waited for someone to bring us a menu. We waited and waited, more than 10 minutes later I had to grab someone's attention to get us some menu.

Despite the wait, the tea was nice. Not a great variety of food though.

I like the cafe layout - it has the retail and cafe side to it. The retail side sells different tea and teapot accessories. The mix is good because if I like how a tea is described, I can try it before I buy a packet of a tea that I may not like.

There is lots of tea to try. This may be a disappointing place for coffee lovers as this cafe do not sell coffee, but the chai latte are amazing. They even have a chilled version of a chai latte and that is really tasty. So, no matter if it is summer or winter, there is always a chai latte that is suitable for drinking.

The sweets are also quite nice. I really enjoyed my chocolate brownie sundae :)

Approximate cost: $12.50

I love Adore Tea. If you visit in winter and sit outside they give you a blanket each to keep warm, as well as having plenty of heating. The teas are amazing and there are so many varieties that it is almost impossible to choose.

Approximate cost: $20

I regularly purchase teas from Adoretea.com.au

They sell a huge variety of loose leaf teas - they stock all of the standard teas, along with heaps of herbal teas, green tea flavours and fruit infused teas (I recommend the Turkish Apple!).

You can buy the loose leaf tea varieties in different sized quantities including sample size 2 cup sachets (which I have used quite a few times to try out some different teas that I probably wouldn't have been game to try if I had to purchase a large quantity).

The website is easy to navigate and includes thorough details about each individual tea including useful suggestions of other teas that you might like if you like a particular tea of theirs. Payment can be made through the website by credit card, paypal or direct deposit.

When the teas arrive they are in prepackaged sachets in whichever size you have chosen and the packaging provides details on the health benefits of your tea, the ingredients and the recommended brewing time and method.

They offer free delivery for orders over $50.00.

This tea makes great presents, they have a great variety. I found the staff to be really helpful, but not too pushy. They also have great tea infused cakes.

This is a great spot for morning tea with friends. There is a huge range of teas to choose from. And my daughter liked the hot chocolate. It's nice to sit outside, even when it's cold, as there are outdoor heaters, and blankets to place on your lap. The service was friendly and prompt.
There is also an extensive range of teas to buy for home, as well as tea accessories, teapots, cups, etc. I especially like that they have sample sized packs of tea in a lot of varieties, allowing you to try it before buying a large pack of it.

A great little place that is appropriate for a get together with friends or afternoon tea with your grandmother! Extensive range of teas, but also caters to non tea drinkers. Great service and reasonably priced.

There's a lot to like about Adore but the best thinh is the jazz on Sundays. If it's cold outside they'll even give you matching blankets! There's a HUGE array of teas, all beautifully served in perfect china, though absolutely no coffee - I sort of get why, but sometimes you just really want one. There are good cakes etc, but almost nothing savoury - I'm diabetic, so that's a problem. But it is a lovely spot, especially if you get the right band for the atmosphere (look for FAQ, leisa Keen or the Fedoras; avoid kooky fandango or word made flesh!)

A special place to relax by yourself or with a group of friends. A huge selection of teas to try there or take home, excellent service (including advice on how to get the most out of the tea) and lovely accompaniments. Atmosphere is lovely. I've taken friends who are 60, peers and my own kids at various times and everyone has loved it.

Good to know it's perfect for various age groups - thanks!
