Having reviews online definitely helps persuade the people that are shopping around. They demonstrate the kind of business we are and how we operate. As our industry is quite highly regulated, they can also be good because our customer can say some of the things we can't. Around one third of our bookings are from people that find us on the web now so it seems to be working! Getting great feedback also keeps our team morale high and keeps us all focused on the service that we are delivering.

We're all about building long-term relationships with clients and WOMO provides a great feedback mechanism and marketing vehicle that supports this strategy. We get some clients that hear about us through other means and then check us out online - our customer reviews on WOMO make sure that they're totally convinced and book in to see us. We also get clients that find us through WOMO in the first place. It's great value for money as we only need 1 or 2 new clients a year for it to totally pay for itself, but we'd get way more than that.

Each month I get about 20 calls directly from WOMO - about 1 a day. Of these 5-8 generally become clients - but the best thing about using word-of-mouth is not the quantity of leads and sales it generate, but the type. When I get a call from someone I'll give them a price on their job and then tell them to get online and look at my reviews on WOMO. They can see clearly from my reviews that I'm very focused on quality, so if they are too, we have a match and they'll call back straight away to book in. It's helping me weed out the price-shoppers from the quality customers. This has an enormous effect on the bottom-line.

Lots of people comment on our WOMO certificate - it draws their attention and gives people confidence in our service. It also gives them something to tell their friends which generates more word-of-mouth. Getting customer feedback is great for staff morale and it reminds us why we're in business. Word-of-mouth feedback is just so important for us!

More than half of our clients find us on WOMO. We're a new business and it's been a great way to get the word out about our services and build up a fantastic reputation quite quickly. We find that the clients we get from WOMO are also more likely to re-book, tell their friends, and review their own experience - so it just keeps fuelling further growth. We're coming up high in lots of Google searches too which is great.

We encourage people to check our reputation on WOMO. It gives new clients a positive mindset and they come to us expecting a good result. So we get off to a good start with our reputation assisting us. The only marketing we do is via word-of-mouth - and we're growing strongly. Our whole philosophy is to do the best we can by our clients. We expect that if our customers are 100% happy, they'll refer others to us -“ and we let them know that our business depends on them doing this!

I've found that people are always looking on the net for reviews. WOMO is great because it helps people sort out the reliable tradies (like me!) from the dodgy operators. Feedback is a very positive thing - it keeps everyone on their toes and makes sure I do a great job. In just a few months, I've built up a bank of positive customer reviews and I get new enquiries every month from people that have seen me on WOMO.

We're definitely getting lots of new clients from Word Of Mouth Online- around 5-10 a month. But others are also seeing the reviews and it's generating a really nice buzz for the salon. Just this week we had a woman find us on WOMO and she brought in a bunch of her friends to get their hair done together - they were so excited to come in after seeing our feedback online! We've tried lots of different advertising methods and track what works and what doesn't. We've recently cut a couple of things but will be keeping our Happy Customers Program - it combines the two most important ways for hairdressers to promote themselves - the internet and great word-of-mouth!

I'm truly amazed at how well WOMO works for us - especially given how low the price is. We've tried other online marketing but nothing has actually got our phone ringing before, whereas we get around 1 client each day from Word of Mouth Online.
We track where all of our customers come from and review our marketing regularly so can say with certainty that WOMO provides great value for money.

When people see our reviews, it's very convincing - there's really nothing better than to have customer recommendations. The clients we get through WOMO tend to be more discerning - which means they're happy to spend money on good service and they re-book. They're not after the cheapest haircut, they're looking for a certain level of service, quality and pampering - which is what we do best. Our staff are very enthusiastic about WOMO and it keeps us all motivated to do our best.
