Yesterday myself and 2 friends went to Tanja’s cafe for breakfast. I ordered my meal and specifically asked for firm fried eggs together with tomato toast and bacon and a latte.
When it arrived I saw that one of the eggs was firm as asked and the other was very soft and runny. The tomato was cold. I decided not to say anything and was going to just leave the soft egg.
I had started eating the food and my plate accidently hit the tall latte glass causing it to topple and tip out completely into my plate , over myself and into my bag which was on the ground.
My friend went and told one of the waitresses that we had a coffee spill and was handed 2 paper serviettes to clean up. Obviously this was not enough so I went myself and asked for something else to clean up the mess. I was given a tea towel with spray and wipe on it to clean up myself. None of the staff came and helped .
I waited approximately 20 minutes hoping for a replacement meal but none was forthcoming. I then spoke to the owner and explained what had happened and was told “well that’s not our fault”. I was totally flabbergasted at the reply. As a former small business owner myself in the hospitality industry, I would have replaced the meal as a gesture of GOOD WILL or at least a piece of toast so I could eat something. She begrudgingly said she would replace the coffee which she did.
The dirty tea towel was left on our table for the duration of the stay and no staff made any attempt to cleanup.
As I said I know it was my fault that the drink knocked and it was an accident but expected a more sympathetic outcome to the situation and because of the attitude of the owner i will NEVER EVER return to those premises again and will take my patronage somewhere else.

Asked for medium poached eggs and received hard boiled poached eggs. Told the [redacted due to personal identifier] and showed who explained she needed to discuss with the [redacted due to personal identifier]. A while later we received two new eggs. In the meantime the rest of our meal was cold so I asked for a slice of toast to help down the eggs which was refused unless we pay $3. I decided that I won't and they took back the eggs leaving us feeling ripped off, still hungry and very disappointed. Hence this review.

This is a really great little café, I love the fact they used a lot of free range products as that's something close to my heart. I frequent here on Sunday mornings for breakfast and I must be getting served by someone different to the other reviewers because every time I get the same sour faced older lady take my order. I'm yet to see her smile... Lucky the food is good though!

I just love this cafe in Wellington Point. I always frequent there with close friends for coffee and cake to catch up. The relaxing atmosphere is so calming. I always order either a chocolate milkshake/thick shake, caramel slice or chocolate cake. The food is always delivered very promptly and efficiently and service is always with a smile. I will definitely be having coffee and cake again at Tanja's.

This is a terrific little cafe, I go there nearly weekly now. They have a wondeful $15 dollar menu of Barramundi chips, salad. But you don't just go to Tanjas for the dinners, it's all about their cakes. My personal favourite at the moment is the Macadamia Chantilly. The service of this place is brilliant. They make it a point to aske you how your day was and bend over backwards to personalise the experience for you.

Nice local cafe/restaurant. What I love about this place is the great range of deserts they have. However in saying that, I wish they would have real icecream rather than the soft serve icecream. It's not as good having soft serve icecream in your ice chocolate.

Tanjas is a great place to call in for coffee and cake, a milkshake, or a meal. Traditional weekend breakfasts are hearty and good to linger over with a newspaper. I am fussy about my black coffee, but at Tanja's it is just to my taste every time. We enjoy sitting outdoors, but the indoor seats are great on cool Winter days.

My partner and I sat and ordered a cappuccino each only to have wrong coffee's brought out. Asked young waitress to return with correct ones. Watched older lady behind coffee machine as she poured incorrect coffee into another glass and add some froth. Drinks were then re-served to us cold. Told girl to take coffee back & explain to barrista that she should be ashamed of herself and give us our money back. Have not and will not go back

Service counters were a bit unclear as to which on to order from. Coffee and atmosphere both nice. Value average compared with other coffee shops around the area.

Have eaten here several times and have always found the staff to be very pleasant and the food choices good. Also have popped in of an evening just to sit outside and have a glass or two of wine-because I really enjoy the evening atmosphere here. Is one of my favourite restaurants.
