I buy many books from Fishpond - always better prices than other online stores I used to use. I always order enough for free shipping. As a country dweller, quite far from the nearest bookshop I find them great for getting latest releases as well as older titles. It does take some time for books from overseas to arrive, but your card is not charged till they are actually shipped, so that's OK. (Except at the moment I am waiting on an order that was apparently held up in Yemen!! But I have been advised of this by email as well as their being a note on the "track order" page.)

I deal with fishpond regularly and generally they are great with quick service and competitive pricing. Most of their prices are great, but some are quite steep. I have just become a seller on the website now and it is quite a simple process to advertise. I will continue using fishpond.

I have placed many orders with Fishpond, usually books or 'hard to find in the shop' DVD's. I have never had a problem with despatch or delivery timeframes . I always place an order for more than $45 as this grants me free shipping. I would suggest you shop around before ordering as some of there prices are much higher than elsewhere. That said I have also found the reverse of this; all products I have purchased from Fishpond have been at least $3-$8 cheaper than I could find elsewhere on the net not to forget unavailable in stores. Fishpond say their prices are better than Amazon & I would have to agree!

I like how they use recycled packaging. Ordered four different items (two books, 2 cds). After 3 weeks, I am still waiting for the last cd, but the other packages arrived promptly, and I have checked the order tracking - so am not worried. I don't think they're the cheapest way to purchase books and cds, but the items are in good condition.

Not overly impressed with fishpond. Bought a book that said I would have within 5-7 days, months later - still no book. Find their customer service to leave a lot to be desired with a lot of their staff having a 'not my problem' attitude. Prices are good - but that's not much help when the books take so long to be received.

The books from fishpond.com.au are all a lot cheaper than a lot of other book shops which is great as you can get more your money. It's really cheap and I order my books over the internet as they get to me on time. It is very reliable. I highly recommend you check out fishpond.com.au and see for yourself what I've been seeing for the last couple of years.

I've ordered several things from Fishpond.com and they offer the best prices around. My last order came with free postage because I spent over $50. The only let down is that not all products are kept in the warehouse and therefore can take several weeks to arrive, however they communicate this clearly with you via email throughout the process and will email products in the warehouse ahead of those they are waiting on. Overall I would recommend them for all your book and music needs.
