Best online bookstore, always the cheapest particularly with free postage and if you put it on your wishlist. Other products are getting better everytime I look, some of the cheapest cosmetics I have seen in a while. Hard to limit your purchases on this website! Highly recommended - add to your favourites now!

I love fishpond for its free postage, great prices and sometimes unusual gifts. I have bought presents, textbooks and novels. Most books arrive within the expected dates (sometimes before!). Most of my books come from the UK or US, so the postage time is definitely reasonable. Only one book I have bought came damaged (part of the back cover was cut/torn). It was a surprisingly easy to replace - fill in a form, print off a postage label from the computer, stick it over the original sticker and drop it in a post box.

The only problem is that you have to order a few weeks in advance of a date (and very early for xmas). However, that is the best policy when buying online anyway. I've had really good experiences with fishpond and always compare prices there first.

I've purchased a few things from Fishpond now - mostly without issue. The one major issue i had related to a DVD that i ordered before Christmas one year. The wrong DVD was sent! There was no phone number to call. The correspondence was fairly quick via email. It was fairly inconvenient to send the DVD back, but that's the risk you take with using an online retailer. The next package i received contained yet another DVD i hadn't ordered. I put it down to the busyness of the pre-Christmas season. Disappointing, but i have not had any problems with them since. I appreciate the range of books they have and fairly reasonable prices. Great to see them expand into other products too.

A site they claim is "Better than Amazon - Guaranteed!". Yes, they do have great competitive products and prices. They have regular newsletters and competitions too, as well as cash credits for completing reviews. They can be a bit slow on delivery though, but regularly communicate progress.

Registration online was easy and quick and the books are always reduced. You can pick up some really good bargains. I was surprised how quickly they were delivered to my door after I ordered them.

They offer great prices and good quality books and products. Registration was easy. Will definately buy from them again.

We ordered all of our son's xmas gifts here and nearly all of them arrived more than a week after xmas.
Emails were taking up to 4 or 5 days to be answered and there was no phone number for customer service.
Perhaps they have learnt from this but it really put me off.
Despite great prices I won't use them again because of the bad service.

I regularly order books from www.bookdepository.co.uk but this time decided to give an Australian business an opportunity. After my experience, I will not be back. I ordered a book a month ago and was advised it would be dispatched between certain dates. They came and went. Finally, I was told the book wasn't in stock after all and it would be sourced from another supplier. I was given the opportunity to cancel the order, but thought that as I'd waited so long already I may as well keep going. I was given another expected dispatch date and that's now come and gone with no sign of the book. In the interim, I've placed two orders on The Book Depository and both have arrived from the UK. The prices on fishpond are OK, but I'd rather pay an extra few dollars and have the book arrive in a timely fashion, particularly if it's a gift. I certainly wouldn't recommend the site.

One of the websites I regularly use for DVDs and books - HEAPS cheaper than the shops, reasonable postage and lots of options to purchase second-hand items, all of which have been in excellent condition (I was surprised). Postage varies and it is hard to get to 'talk' to anyone if anything goes wrong but after three years of using them I have only had two problems.

Great online bookshop with cheap prices and a great option of being able to list your books second hand for free( they charge a commission if your book sells)

The orders are a bit slow to arrive unfortunately and the site does have its glitches, but when it works it is brilliant!
