First time coming to this cafe, was early for a movie so decided to go have some dinner with my mom. My mom had been there previously and said it was good but when we walked in a guy im assuming to be the new owner sitting down having dinner with his family got up and helped us to our table, we sat down and looked at the menu for literally a second and the waitress came up staring, didnt ask if we were ready just stood there, I looked up and said oh we arent ready yet and she said ok and walked away. We were ready to order and I asked for a meal and asked for no tomato, the response was sorry it comes with tomato but I can get them to put it on the side for you, I said I dont understand, Im asking for not tomato what if im allergic to it? and she said it will be on the side and rudley pointed in my face the menu : no adjustments to any meals. I said wow ok well I am allergic so please I cant have it touching my food. I was absolutley shocked as i thought, Im not asking to pay less you can keep your tomato save money but anyway, My mom ordered a drink and the lady walked away. she then comes back with the menu and again pointed and said so it says this meal is only 12-3pm, you need to order something else. I just looked at her and said its ok we will go somwhere else. She then said well i already put her drink through she needs to pay for it, my mom then paid $6 for a small chai latte and we walked out. before walking out my mother said, is this place under new management and another lady behind the counter who was really nice said yes it is.
We ended up going to Georges which was amazing, should have just gone there to begin with!
shocking service, very expensive!

Café Bello is a great all-rounder café situated in Burwood Westfield. There is something for everybody on the menu, a lot of the dishes Italian-inspired. I find the dishes over-priced for the quality you receive, but eatable nonetheless. The service is friendly and I would eat here again. It is a convenient place to eat if you are catching a movie at the cinemas nearby,

this restaurant is situated right at the entrance of westfield burwood. I have been there many times, had previously a pizza which was not bad but last time I had a riosotto which was very heavy, you could see the butter shining on the rice, didnt like it at all. Service is not great either and prices are not cheap

Have been coming here as often as I can when I'm in Burwood, when I used to work inside the centre. After the renovations to this place, it has proved more popular then ever with locals who come to dine before catching a movie at the cinemas nearby.

I always opt for the sirloin steak (medium) with chips and garden salad. The serving size is generous with lots of mushroom sauce , smothered on top. Delish. Food does take awhile to come out to you, but it is pretty good. Try and avoid lunch rush hour if you can , and opt for an early/ late dinner. Nice ambience, relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly.

I have been going to Bellos for years and the place has changed quite a bit. The cafe itself is very nicely done up, but the prices have now increased enough for my family and I to look at other places to dine in the Burwood area. It is also a really noisy cafe due to it's popularity.
The servings are enormous- and the menu offers everything you could think of. A lot of the food there is really tasty, but paying $20 for a veggie burger has become a bit too much for us to cough up.
Most of the wait staff are amazing, but there are a few that need to improve on their customer skills.
The owner is always around and isn't afraid to get in there and help out- especially when it is busy. We really like that about the cafe.
The coffee is average- but the cakes, waffles etc are amazing.
It's just a shame that the prices have gone up so much.

Approximate cost: $30

Environment is ok, but I think more suitable for friends hangout and try to find a place to take a rest and have some light food. However the price there is quite high, but food taste is ok. So it is ok to have a try.

Good food, not so good customer service and also sooooo overpriced! There are so many more cafe's in burwood that are so much better than Cafe Bello! Would not recommend.

It really bugs me how little business' seem to be caring about "customer service" these days.

Completely agree with your about the prices, which have gone up again in the last few months.

There are a few really great waiters at the cafe- but lately there have been some new wait-staff that just don't cut it.

Bello cafe is situated right at the entrance of westfield burwood and has food that is modernised, mainly pizza , fish , risotto etc. the food is very good and the quantities are supersized , must try!

Overall, this cafe was great; it was quite classy. The food was delicious and there was a large variety of dishes. Its the perfect place to have a dinner with your friends, as the atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly!
